The Microsoft Studio LifeCam is a good choice if you are looking for a high-end webcam for your laptop. It looks very professional, and not cheap or plastic like most do, has a good feature set, and it works. I would say this is the best performing...

I was hoping for better distance clarity

I bought this hoping to capture the awsome views of the mountains from my desk here in the mountains of Costa Rica. This camera does OK for the near view but, the mountains in the distance are very faint unless I zoom in and then I loose the panorama.
