Microsoft LifeCam NX-6000

Getting a regular webcam for your laptop would be quite irrelevant considering that you'll need a proper surface to place the camera at all times unless you plan on holding it in your hand. What you need is a tiny webcam made specifically for your...

The good thing about these effects are that these even get integrated into your Windows Live Messenger, so you can actually use these while chatting. For me the biggest negative point about the LifeCam NX-6000 is its steep street price of Rs. 5,600...

Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000

Easy to set up and use. Works with all major instant-messaging clients. Includes pan, tilt, and zoom control.

Doesn't work consistently with every messaging client. Mic volume needs to be turned up high in order to pick up sound.

This is a reasonably priced webcam with some nice features, including face-tracking, but we wish the built-in mic worked better.

Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000

The LifeCam VX-6000's small, ring-shaped base is stable and works for a variety of mounting situations. When collapsed, the ring is great for desktop mounting, and by unfolding the base into an L-shape hook, the stand can be securely mounted on a thin...

Flexible stand; adjustable camera; call button launches contacts; can post photos to blogs through software.

Call button gets in the way while adjusting; must install Windows Live Messenger; subpar video effects; delay in starting video.

The Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 offers unique features such as the ability to post photos directly to a blog, but its video effects and image quality don't stand up to that of competing Webcams from veteran manufacturers.

Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 & VX-3000

Microsoft released two brand-new webcams last month, the VX-3000 and VX-6000, both of which have a huge feature-set. The better of the two even offers "high-definition" 1.3 megapixel video capabilities. We've been testing both webcams for the past...

I found that I did not really care for the face tracking, as it seemed clunky to me. The camera will follow your face around when you move, and even though it may seem like a good idea, often it just makes the camera feel jerky. It’ll adjust zoom and...

Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 Review and Prices

Webcams grow more sophisticated every day, and Microsoft recently entered the market with some high-end models of its own. One good example is the LifeCam VX-6000, which is geared toward desktop use. However, this smartly designed device plays nicely...

Microsoft LifeCam NX-6000

A decent Webcam for work or play—but don't believe the high-res hype.

Compact; retractable lens; good feature set, software; compatible with major IM clients

Video, photo specs misleading; video unusable at high resolutions, low lighting

Double your display real estate by adding a second monitor. It's a snap: Here's how

Microsoft LifeCam NX-6000

Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000

Microsoft has taken some time to get into the “Webcam” market; it's a market that has really been taken over by the likes of Logitech and Creative. With the release of their LifeCam set of cameras, Microsoft has finally given them some kind of...

Decent Design ; Good Audio ; Good Picture Quality

Useless top button ; Expensive ; Not as good as latest Logitech offerings

"Crap. Blurry and front turning bit won't make it focus?"

Can't be bothered chasing Microsoft support. I'm actually a Microsoft Business partner and I don't have time for the Microsoft support run around when they don't know how to fix it.

Don't know...doesn't work.

Blurry, won't focus.
