And Yet it Moves

Supposedly, during his historic trial before the Catholic Church, the pioneering scientist Galileo Galilei muttered “and yet it moves” under his breath when the Church insisted that the Earth was a solitary object. The story is considered by historians...

And Yet it Moves stands alongside Braid and Limbo as one of this generation's best 2D platformers, improving on last year's PC release with a couple notable additions. Like its brethren it takes the basic mechanics of the genre, shakes them up with a...

Fun with rotational physics

Simple controls, nice ramp in difficulty, soothing music, plenty of game modes, monkeys

Adventure mode is short, alternate control schemes not terribly useful, extra levels feel tacked on, those stupid bees

And Yet It Moves from Broken Rules is a clever platform puzzle game that will have you twisting your head, Wii controller, and brain in 360 degrees. Your head can do that, right?

And Yet It Moves

Puzzle/platforming has received some nice shots in the arm this gen with Braid, Trine, and LIMBO. Now, Wii fans have something new that represents the genre proudly and multi-console owners yearning for something new after conquering LIMBO will also...

If you've already played the PC version, then I'm not sure if the additional three levels and Wii control setup will be enough to sway you to double dip, but for those who mainly stick to console play and haven't, and love the genre, definitely pick...

And Yet It Moves

In recent years it has become far easier for independent game developers to break into the market with their creations. Be it via Steam on PCs, Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade/Indie Games, Sony's PlayStation Network, Nintendo's WiiWare and DSiWare (and,...

An impressive debut from Broken Rules, who have taken their own name literally by screwing up the rule book and trying something a little different within an established genre. The gamble pays off: with a friendly concept, striking art, and...

It's not often that the phrase ‘cut-and-paste' can be used to compliment a game's visuals, but with mind-bending platformer And Yet It Moves this is absolutely the case – the games graphics, you see, are made almost entirely from torn sheets of paper,...

And Yet It Moves offers both style and substance – when you’re not gawping at the visual insanity that’s gracing your TV screen or soaking up the twitchy, shuffling electro soundtrack, you’re wracking your brain on how to overcome the next obstacle,...
