Another Code R: A Journey into Lost Memories

Novel

A fairly lengthy and enjoyable mystery adventure

After completing the game, there's little reason to return

Motion controls never feel slapped onto the game, which is quite impressive seeing as most developers seem to enjoy tacking on waggle to their products. Whenever players engage in conversations, the screen splits into two sections. Whenever an...

Another Code R: A Journey into Lost Memories

Another Code R is a pleasing adventure with a good story, but slow pacing, frustrating motion puzzles, and overwrought dialogue spoil it.

Beautiful art style ; Interesting mystery storyline ; Intuitive interface

Extremely slow paced ; Some frustrating motion controls ; Overwrought dialogue

Another Code R: A Journey into Lost Memories

The R stands for reading, remembering and RSI

Pretty landscapes ; Decent puzzles ; Gently intriguing story

Characters either emotive or animatronic freak-bots ; Puzzles drown in the wordage ; Constant unraveling text noise

Unfortunately, we just don’t see anyone thinking as fondly of the Wii puzzles as they did the DS ones. Bar a canny use of the home button there’s nothing close to the cleverness of reflecting the handheld’s two screens off one another or closing the...

Like its DS forebear Another Code, the snappily titled Wii sequel Another Code: R -Journey Into Lost Memories is a text heavy adventure that unlike the inventive original, which utilised the DS to its full potential, only makes limited use of the Wii's...

Most of the puzzles are pretty straightforward and as we've already mentioned several times in this review, there is a lot of text to get through. Still, we can extol the virtues of Another Code: R if you're looking for a decent tale to while away the...

Another Code: R - A Journey into Lost Memories

The tale of Ashley Mizuki Robbins and her missing father was the premise for Another Code: Two Memories, an adventure title for the Nintendo DS that took great advantage of all the system's features, including even the sleep feature that requires the...

Nintendo was wise to enlist CING once more for this second edition of Another Code as the developer has taken the best elements of both its previous DS titles, Two Memories and Hotel Dusk, poured them onto the Wii and mixed in a whole host of clever...

Not quite the blistering next step after Hotel Dusk, but Cing at their worst are still better than most. Gently intriguing stuff.

Slow slow slow

What a drag this game was, I only made it to about the third scene before I gave up but that took about an hour as the amount of talking is too much. I wanted to solve puzzles but the only one I managed to solve was to stop them talking and that was by...
