Batman: The Brave and the Bold

It's hard to think of many other franchises that veer quite so violently between starkly grim, violent cynicism and tongue-in-cheek pantomime than Batman. While 2009's Arkham Asylum (Xbox 360 / PS3) veered towards the Christopher Nolan approach, the...

Batman: The Brave and the Bold

As a child of the 90s, to me Batman has always been defined by the landmark animated series that ran from 92 to 95. While my parents grew up with Adam West's campy interpretation in the 60s, for me Batman first and always was the caped crusader...

Batman: The Brave and the Bold is equal parts classic beat-em-up and tribute to the beloved animated series. It's a brawler that anyone, genre fans included, can pick up and have a good time with. For fans of the TV show it's a must own, replicating...

Review: Batman: The Brave and the Bold (Nintendo Wii)

I really love how the game felt just like you were playing the cartoon, right down to the dialogue. With Robin you both take on Two-Face in the opening stage, and from there, the Dynamic Duo takes on Catman and Catwoman as they attempt to turn all of...

Batman: The Brave and the Bold is not only the best platformer I’ve played this year, but it’s also a solid contender for the best Wii game of the year as well. It’s witty, it’s funny, it’s got an amazing amount of fan service, it holds up amazingly...

Batman: The Brave and the Bold- Wii

Team up in the ultimate co‐op adventure and battle as Batman along with his powerful posse including Green Lantern, Robin, Hawkman and Blue Beetle, or call in the help of drop‐in heroes such as The Flash and Aquaman to squash enemies.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold Review

Why so Serious?

Watching what looks like a separately animated scene reveal itself as part of a level

Episodes that hang around long after they've stopped being interesting

Annoyances aside, Batman: The Brave and the Bold is a fun romp through corners of the DC Universe, in terms of both characters and characterization, that have been underutilized. The game will not reward those who want deep gameplay or devotees of the...

Batman: The Brave and the Bold

The Brave And The Bold is a light enjoyable romp for younger gamers, but those after lots of variety might find it a little dull.

He's Batman ; Wide variety of DC heroes ; Kid friendly

AI in single player is woeful ; Why does Bruce Wayne need to collect money for upgrades ; Simple fighting controls ; Somewhat repetitive

Batman: The Brave and the Bold isn't, as Catwoman might say, purrrfect, but it's an entirely adequate slice of gaming aimed at younger Bat-fans who don't want to get annoyed with difficulty spikes or scared by some of the heavier themes implicit in...

Batman: The Brave and the Bold

The unashamedly jovial and fun tone of Batman: The Brave and the Bold is sure to please gamers young and old. Of course, this game will definitely appeal to fans of the cartoon series and manages to capture its aesthetic beautifully. The game also...

Batman: The Brave and the Bold

A faithful game conversion of the popular animated TV show, The Brave and the Bold casts a familiar hero in a series of madcap adventures with friends and foe alike. It's not perfect, but it sure is fun.

Art design is brilliant. Humorous banter between friend and foe alike. Constant action, diverse environments and stacks of unlockables

The more advanced moves require quite a bit of co-ordination that might put younger players off. The AI can sometimes be a bit wonky, but it's not a game-breaker. Including harder difficulty levels would have increased replayability tenfold

Holy cakewalk, Batman!

Batman: The Brave and the Bold- Wii

For me, [The Brave and the Bold] provides a small insight into a more light hearted version of Streets of Rage - funnily enough a game of my childhood. I've got no urge to return to that slice of childhood any time soon though.
