Bleach: Shattered Blade (Wii)

Bleach whitens, so it's a good title for a manga about ethereal ninjas who cleanse evil spirits. It's also toxic, making it an apt name for a game you should avoid at all costs, which, in this case, is Bleach: Shattered Blade. Based on the anime...

Bleach: Shattered Blade

Bleach was an instant trend. No sooner than Shonen Jump previewed the new Manga title, the insane popularity of the series in Japan, flowed to the US and there was a translated TV series on Adult Swim. As with any popular anime franchise, the video...

Multiplayer is a good time, even with imbalanced characters it manages to deliver huge action ; A huge amount of story content

No Wi-Fi ; Action places too much focus on cut-scenes

The Wii lends itself to the sword fighting very well, but it may be little more than novelty for most people. There is a lot of fan service here, but the title doesn't stand well on its own. This combination is hit or miss, a rental is in order to...

Bleach: Shattered Blade

Released in tandem with Bleach: The Blade of Fate for the DS, Sega brings Bleach: Shattered Blade to the Wii. Expanding the amount of fighting games available on the Wii, Shattered Blade is an adequate release that unfortunately does little to innovate...

While it would be a nice notion for a successful anime series to equate into a successful video game release, such is not always the case. While Bleach: Shattered Blade doesn’t exactly fail, the repetitive nature of the game does wear thin after only a...

Bleach: Shattered Blade

More like Bleach: The Shattered Wrists.

Includes original English voice cast ; Motion controls work pretty well

Rapid motion controls don't work well with offense-minded gameplay ; Flat graphics, muted sounds ; No variety in game modes

Quote The review sounds like the only problems of the game are that the controls tire you and that the bankai cutscenes are too long, you hint at a deep combat system that you didn't manage to explore. The text of the review doesn't sound as bad as the...

Does SEGA's first "Bleach" offering on the Wii hold enough Bankai to keep you entertained?

Bleach: Shattered Blade

Perhaps providing the full blade would have made for a better game.

Easy enough for the youngest of Bleach fans to enjoy

Uninspired gameplay lacks depth; graphics and gameplay feel dated

Bleach Shattered Blade

What would you get if you made a game that has elements of Tekken, Bushido Blade, Street Fighter and Naruto all rolled into one? You'd end up with Bleach Shattered Blade, a sword fighting game.

It's a new experience for a fighter, and that should be enough reason to try this game out. It isn't a hardcore fighter, but those who want a simple game will like it. The flawed AI is what keeps this game from really being great.

Bleach: Shattered Blade - Wii review at Thunderbolt Games

Bleach. What a name. Upon hearing it, one might assume that this incredibly popular anime is about doing laundry. There have been stranger concepts, after all. There are no washing machines or fabric softener here. Bleach is all about three things:...

Bleach: Shattered Blade Review

Sharp gameplay keeps this Blade from growing dull.

Developer Polygon Magic cut a few corners during the game's development. The storyboard sequences in Episode Mode, for instance, are just stiff explanation sequences with no real action, unlike the anime series. Furthermore, there are no differences...
