Boom Blox Bash Party (Wii)

At one time in your life, you probably got a thrill out of setting up blocks and watching them fall down. Unfortunately, that was probably back when you sucked your thumb and dined on pureed food. Electronic Arts and Steven Spielberg have teamed up to...

If you played last year's title from EA and Steven Spielberg, you recall fondly the unique and creative puzzle game that provided hours of fun. That game was Boom Blox on the Wii. It was essentially a simple formula; you would be given stacks of...

With Bash Party, EA and Spielberg have taken the original Boom Blox and built on it to produce a package that is creative, innovative, and crazy-fun to play. Add the ability to create and share new puzzles, and we are left with a must-buy on Nintendo's...

Still one of the best multiplayer games on the Wii. One of my favorite, and probably most criminally overlooked titles of last year, was a unique puzzle game from the...

Can expanded gameplay features and a robust online sharing mode make a highly celebrated game even better?

Keeps the great gameplay of the original intact ; New levels with unique physics ; Deep stage creation modes ; Level sharing extends the replay value ; Quirky presentation ; Great multiplayer

Steep learning curve in the stage creation mode ; Plays too much like the original game ; Single player is not as engaging as multiplayer mode

Boom Blox: Bash Party

Having a movie maker and gaming company teaming up for a brand new Intellectual Property may seem like quite an unusual idea, but the pairing of the legendary Steven Spielberg and the world's largest third party videogame developer, Electronic Arts,...

The original Boom Blox is hailed by many as one of the best experiences on Wii, yet was in all honesty an unfinished product in many ways. Bash Party may become repetitive for some over time, but it does prove to be a far better package overall,...

This is more or less everything we wanted from a Boom Blox sequel and can't recommend it enough.

Boom Blox Bash Party

When Steven Spielberg first announced that he would be overseeing production of several new videogames, in partnership with EA, many would be forgiven for expecting some high-concept epic full of sentimentalism, annoying child actors, rubbish endings...

Bash Party isn’t a huge leap from the previous game, but then it really didn’t need to be. In fact it’s hard to see where Spielberg and co could take the concept from here, especially as EA have apparently promised that the amount of extra levels set...
