Cranium Kabookii Review

The family-friendly board game series makes the digital transition

This is a fun family game that's burdened with some unfortunate technical issues. Beyond that, Kabookii's only flaw is that it's essentially a digital board game at video-game prices. If it comes down in price, it will be a much easier recommendation,...

Cranium Kabookii

It stays true to the format of the board game, but that's just not good enough for a video game.

Great for families or large groups ; Refreshing change of pace from the traditional party trivia game

Must have at least four players to play the game at all ; No options or other game modes to flesh out game ; A wasted opportunity to make the video game more than just the board game

The third strike? Board games aren't something you play every day. Or every week, for that matter. You may play Cranium Kabookii a lot initially, but the more you play it, the more the fifteen different activity variations start getting repetitive...

Cranium Kabookii

The Wii has been accused of basically becoming a system primed for party games, but considering the current market demographic it is no wonder developers are bringing such simple titles to the platform. But is Cranium Kabookii, the translation of a...

Cranium Kabookii is definitely a fun little product for Wii, with lots of variety involved and clever puzzles. Sadly there are a few niggles that prevent this from being a must-buy, especially given how the board game itself is a much cheaper...

Cranium Kabookii

This party game offers enough new ideas that aren't seen in every other family Wii title to make it worth adding to your collection. Available for under £30, it's not bad value either.

Great fun ; Easy to play

Could grow tiresome ; Some mini-games aren't great

There's little more to be said about Cranium Kabooki. It's totally devoid of game modes other than the core team-based play, so forget about it unless you plan to play with a group of friends fairly regularly. If you do, then this party game offers...

Very poor - lacks polish

The concept is great, the Cranium series is well known to be good, however, the game is sooo slow. The programmers clearly have never heard of background loading or just love the 'loading' animation so much they couldn't do without it. Yes it is for...

Cranium Kabookii

Being a huge fan of the Cranium board game, I was excited to see this game for the Wii. So glad I rented it before I bought it! What a waste of time. Each round was too short and far too easy. Unfortunately we weren't sent the 'intriguing Kabookii...

Its a Party Game not a two player game

This is cranium on the Wii, if you have played it on the board game version you'll know what to expect. and like the board game this is not something you can play with 2 players, it really is a 4 or more game so one for when the friends / relatives are...

Cranium Kabooki

The games is very slow, it was made difficult to use as the decoder mask can not be sent with the game so any drawing levels are next to useless.
