Dawn of Discovery

Grow a colony from the ground up in this brand new simulation…then wonder where the last 15 hours of your life went.

Open gameplay concept ; Pacing is excellent ; Impressive presentation

Slowdown issues

FYI, Walmart.com has this game for $19.82. Totally worth every penny.

Dawn of Discovery

Back in my younger gaming days, one of my favorite games was Populous, where, for those who don't know, you play a god crafting a civilization that would serve as your forces against your enemies. To do this, you manipulate the land and provide...

Yet again, a game on the Wii that looks to be well below my level of interest surprises by focusing on the gameplay and implementing solid, intuitive controls. That it's extremely accessible thanks to the tutorial-on-steroids story mode is just another...

Dawn of Discovery

This game of exploration and city building hits the occasional rough patch, but it's a captivating adventure nonetheless.

Smart interface gives you easy access to all your structures ; Production flows are satisfying without being overly complex ; Achievement system provides fun additional goals to strive for ; Appealing visual style and music

Lack of clear information regarding supply and demand can lead to frustration ; Combat is too simple

Dawn of Discovery Review

Your discovery of this game might at first look disappointing, but don't give up until you've played ALL of the game

Dawn of Discovery will probably be the best game to come out of nowhere in a long time. If you don't give up on it due to its story mode, you will get many hours of fun out of this title.
