Endless Ocean

It was only a matter of time, but Nintendo is now targeting hippies, yogaphiles, transcendental meditators, New Earthians, peacemongers, and ripple-in-a-pond philosophers with this new interactive Quaalude under the sea.

Nintendo continues to stretch the definition of "videogame" with Endless Ocean, a mind mellowing, interactive Quaalude in the guise of an underwater treasure hunting safari.

Game Review: Endless Ocean

In a world filled with fast-paced action, shooter, and puzzle games, the average player might feel like the selection of games to play is limited to these three genres. Arika Studios is here to tell you otherwise. Introducing Endless Ocean for the...

Endless Ocean is best summarized as the simplicity of Animal Crossing combined with a gorgeous National Geographic documentary about fish.

Endless Ocean

that review was alot more honest then gamespots.

This isn't a game for everyone, but for those who get the appeal, it's a success. Over-acheivers need not apply; you'll either quit within minutes or go insane and break the disc. Endless Ocean is a break, not a conquest.

Endless Ocean (Wii)

This is without a doubt one of the strangest pieces of software I have ever come across.

This review was based on a retail copy of the game provided by the publisher.

Endless Ocean

You're underwater, off the coast of Manoa Lai in the Pacific. A small school of Yellow Tang drifts by. Everything is cool and blue, and the only sound you hear is the gentle in, out... of your respirator. You kick downward idly, observing the colorful,...

Endless Ocean is a paramount, shining example of the escapist side of gaming. It contains a surprising amount of traditional game elements, yes, but the real draw here is the relaxing and soothing world of Manoa Lai that Arika has so lovingly crafted....

Endless Ocean Review

Endless Ocean's unique laid back style, satisfying exploration and pretty underwater visuals make it well worth the price of admission.

Endless Ocean is a charming and unique experience. Gamers with an open mind toward design will find a lot to admire here. It may even make you question what makes a game a game.

Endless Ocean

Literally and figuratively, a game that delivers on Nintendo's "blue ocean" strategy.

Serene atmosphere draws you in ; Huge selection of accurate marine life means you'll actually learn something ; Lots of bang for the buck

Simple story does little to add drama or motivation ; Out-of-water character movement is terribly unrealistic ; Lack of underwater danger could bore restless gamers

I thought that voice chat would be great in this, but then I thought- you can't really talk underwater, in fact when you dive with another person you most likely use the same communication tactics. This is a great form of realism that most would...

This Ocean provides a deep gaming experience.

Action fans and those looking for an enthralling adventure game might want to take a rain check on Endless Ocean. Everyone else, though, shouldn't hesitate to dive in. Its underwater beauty, missions and support of both Wi-Fi Connection and MP3...

Endless Ocean Review

An unusual game for an unusual platform.

Endless Ocean is a unique experience that showcases the Wii in a whole new way, and at $29.99, the game represents a good value. You'll never have the same dive twice, and it's nice to have a game the kids can play where a shark won't accidentally eat...
