Geometry Wars: Galaxies review for the WII

Don't know much about geometry...

The addition of drones and currency; 70 plus levels; New enemies

Need two versions to unlock everything; Not enough multi-player modes; No new tweaks to the graphics

Geometry Wars: Galaxies Game Review - Nintendo Wii

Addicting gameplay; Psychadelic visuals and sound will have anyone hooked; multiplayer and galaxy modes gives tons of replay value

Controls might be infuriating if you don't own a classic controller, $40 seems steep for a game that cost much less on XBLA

Geometry Wars: Galaxies

The popular 360 arcade shooter suffers growing pains as it expands its scope.

Addictive, easy gameplay; DS connection bonuses

Requires a classic controller or two; multiplayer is too chaotic; graphics too bright, not crisp enough; slowdown

Geometry Wars: Galaxies

Retro-revived or rip-off remake? Find out how this arcade hit measures up against its 360 forefather

A galaxy of new maps to master ; Experimenting with Drones ; High replay value

Dying with unused bombs ; Nightmares involving 100 giant cubes ; Slightly repetitive soundtrack

An extremely fast-moving arcade experience; Unique look; Expands the Geometry Wars gameplay mechanics

Default control setup is difficult to grasp

Geometry Wars: Galaxies Review

Kuju takes Bizarre Creations' arcade shooter to Wii and DS - but is the end product less than stellar...

Expanded single-player ; Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Enabled ; Greater variety of enemies

Not as engaging as the XBLA versions ; Lack of HD makes a difference ; Wii/DS Connectivity needed for final galaxy

Geometry Wars: Galaxies on Wii and Nintendo DS very much retains the pick up and play hook of the Xbox Live Arcade/PGR predecessors, which is obviously one of the key elements in the jump to the Nintendo machines. It's lost a lot in the transition...

Geometry Wars: Galaxies Review

While the core game is the same, the Wii version has been handled by Nintendo hardware know-it-alls Kuju Entertainment, and despite being of the retro kind, this iteration is actually pretty darn, well… pretty. There are particle effects, lighting and...

Simple idea brilliantly executed; Fast paced and damn pretty; Online leaderboards; Plenty of replay value

No online multiplayer; Playing with the Wii Remote isn't all that intuitive
