Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

In the end, the Harry Potter video game curse still hasn’t been lifted. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is still as poor as any of the past titles have been and the future doesn’t look any better with only one book left. The graphics are...

Dark themes handled with a light touch in this 6th game.

Parents need to know that this visually-exciting action adventure game is based on the movie and book of the same name. While the themes in J.K. Rowling's sixth book in the Harry Potter series are darker and more mature than those in the earlier books,...

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Apparently all Harry did during his sixth year was fight classmates, brew potions, fly on his broom, and hit on his best friend's sister.

Makes great use of Wii controls ; Hogwarts looks gorgeous ; Lots of fan service

Unsatisfying and short ; Lack of variety ; Hogwarts is pretty much empty

When it comes down to it, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is just a pretty looking sandbox game with three mini-games. These games are interesting, but gameplay variety is a second thought, and so is the story. The only people who should bother...

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Harry's latest game should have been held back a year.

Hogwarts looks great and is fun to explore; brewing potions is fun

The game tends to discourage exploration; dueling and Quidditch aren't fun; motion controls don't always work

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Review

If you're looking to be a little more like Potter, you won't get any closer than this.

For fans of the Harry Potter series, the game's action sequences with Duelling, Quidditch and Potions would be enough for to buy the game but storyline and exploration modes feel like a weak glue that holds it all together. Still, those games deliver...
