Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility (Wii)

As part of its 10-year anniversary celebration, Natsume has released two new Harvest Moon games, one for the Wii and another for the DS. The Wii game is the first for the console, and though the subtitle implies that it is a new game, a number of...

Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility

Are you ready to farm? Natsume's Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility is a visual departure from the previous entries in the series, but largely sticks to the basics that have cultivated an intense following- and that means lots of crops, lots of animals,...

Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility ..

Return to your agricultural and animal husbandry roots.

New action-based controls via Wiimote; can play as your own offspring

In-game days are extremely quick; elements of main story appear in drips and drabs

Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility (Wii) - Gameplanet Review

Basically the same old Harvest Moon formula with a few new features, but a pleasant little diversion from the pressures and pace of real life - and good value for money.

The Wii remote lends a real 'hands-on' feel to some of the activities; simple to get into and still addictive as ever

Camera angles are sometimes awkward; load times are frequent and lengthy

Same old.

Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility

With only minimal improvements to a well-worn formula, the Harvest Moon series is starting to show its age.

Core farming mechanics are still fun ; Massive number of things to participate in and take care of

Frequent loading screens slow the pace ; Motion controls are uninspired ; Slowdown comes with every rainy day
