Gamertell Review: Hasbro Family Game Night 3 for Wii

I have a family game night. It's on Wednesday. We often play board games with the kids (Candyland, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Call of Cthulhu...whatever the kids are in the mood for), and sometimes we all play the Wii (Kirby's Epic Yarn, Wii Sports Resort,...

Remix modes add some life, single-player option

Bad pacing, odd choice of games, gameplay is sometimes changed for the worse, pointless mini games, no online multiplayer in Wii version

But instead of going on and on about the great fun most Hasbro games are, this review will probably read like an “airing of grievances” from Seinfeld, because I have a lot of issues with this game. This is one of those games that you think should be...

Comprised of several well loved classic games, including the historic Operation, Hasbro Family Game Night 2 should be a lot better than it is. Other than Connect 4x4, which holds up relatively well, the board games just don’t convert well to the Wii.

An evening in with the Jengaboys...

More Wii-friendly games selection ; Cheaper than buying the board games ; Plenty of customization options

Dull in single-player ; Jenga controls are annoying ; Operation gets boring very quickly

With less Mr. Potato Head and plenty of customization options, this is a more appealing package than the first Game Night and costs less than buying all five board games. So why’s it only ‘a little’ better than before? Well, it’s dull in single-player;...

On the whole the Hasbro Family Game Night package is a rather good one with mostly faithful recreations of the included games. Personally I think the game is a little expensive at £29.99 (although it probably works out cheaper than buying all of the...

Hasbro Family Game Night Wii Review

Much like Monopoly (which Andrew reviewed recently and quite enjoyed), Hasbro Family Game Night has obviously been released in time for the festive season. EA may have some good intentions in getting families together and things like that, but...

Hasbro Family Game Night has a good selection of games (Battleship is the worst one in this writers view), fantastic and colourful presentation and is also as customisable as many would hope. It's certainly a good choice to place in the Wii over the...
