Indianapolis 500 Legends

How great can a racing game with only one track really be?

Cheap ; Steering isn't half bad ; Pit stop management

Suicidal opponents ; All Indy, all the time ; Plays like a cheap game

Indianapolis 500 Legends

It's easy to be skeptical about a game like Indianapolis 500 Legends. While the idea of making a licensed racing game is nothing new, it seems awfully risky to base an entire game around one race. These days it's not uncommon to expect dozens of tracks...

As far as racing games with only one track goes, Indianapolis 500 Legends isn't half bad. Unfortunately its limited scope makes it difficult to recommend over some of the better racing games on the console.

Indianapolis 500 Legends (WII)

There is a certain charm to Indianapolis 500 Legends, but charm without substance never finishes first.

Tight Wii-mote controls; exciting crashes; great atmosphere

Last-gen graphics; dull pit stop mini-games; not enough content

Indianapolis 500 Legends Review

This racer ends up going in circles – literally.

What could've been a real chance to capitalize on racing history is instead just another speed bump on the road to better games. Indianapolis 500 Legends is lifeless, boring and flat – everything the actual Indy 500 isn't.

Indianapolis 500 Legends (2007) on Wii

Even though Indianapolis 500 legends is a lower budget design, the collaboration between Destineer and the people responsible for putting on the yearly races is still pretty impressive, and it's obvious that there was some passion put into the game...

Destineer's historic racer arrives on Wii.

Indianapolis 500 Legends review

Hello and welcome to the 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500. You are watching ABC. We are about to get underway here on a beautiful Memorial Day in the capital city of Indiana. Here we go. And they're off! Wait, number 16 appears to be having engine...

Let me be clear: hardcore fans of the Indianapolis 500 may like this game. It is intended almost solely for them, anyway. Who else would be interested in racing around the same oval, except in different era automobiles? That said, fatal flaws are...

Indianapolis 500 Legends

Racing fans can hit the Brickyard during the heyday of Indy racing in Indianapolis 500 Legends. Taking place from 1961 to 1971, Indy 500 Legends lets gamers race with 32 different drivers, including legends Al Unser and A.J. Foyt. The arcade-style racing

Not as fun as the old version!

I got "addicted" to the SIMS on the PC over the last, creative, lets you do your own designs, etc. so I figured buying the WII Sims Creator would be about the same....sadly, I am a little disappointed.Wii Sims Creator is a one player ...

Simplistic operation overall

No street views, no individual building selections, not as great as other versions
