King of Clubs

A mini-golf game with a storyline…what's next? If there is one genre I am a sucker for it is mini-golf. Everything from Hot Shots Golf to smaller titles such as...

Tons of courses ; Quirky cast of characters

Feels too familiar ; Lack of modes ; Uninspired visuals

King of Clubs Review

King of Clubs is supposed to be a wacky and more mature mini golf game with lots of laughs. So, when I initially got King of Clubs in for review ...

King of Clubs is an ugly, boring, hard to control mess. If you are looking for a mini-golf game similar to Outlaw Golf… this isn’t it, keep waiting. With a little bit of silliness from your characters this would have been a much better game than it is.

King of Clubs Mini-Golf (2008) on Wii

There's a standard set of extra options to be found in King of Clubs, from unlockable putters, courses and characters to multiplayer modes and all the rest. But, really, with an unattractive presentation and a control scheme that actually makes the...

Another below-average attempt at putt-putt on Wii.

King of Clubs

It's time to either putt up or shut up

Good crazy-golf games ; Multiplayer is fun for a few minutes ; Burning money for more fun

Worse than N64 graphics ; Horrible controls ; Not doing the Wii any favors

That aside, how can Oxygen expect us to excuse horrendous controls that decrease swing power as you draw the remote back and a camera that can’t keep up with something as technically baffling as a coloured circle moving across landscapes an N64 would...

King of Clubs: Mini-Golf

Developer Oxygen Games fancies King of Clubs: Mini-Golf as something of a puzzle game disguised as 96 holes of miniature golf. Set in a dilapidated theme park in the deserts of Southern Nevada, players must putt their way through five courses filled with

King of Clubs

Meet Big Bubba, an Elvis impersonator (no correlation with way cooler Bubba Ho-Tep) who built a huge crazy golf emporium, nearby the hot and dry Nevada desert, where 90+ courses are ready to be played against failed actors posing as mini-golf...

90+ courses to play ; Lots of customization

Controls are unresponsive ; Graphics are ugly ; Unfunny characters ; Feels like a bad PS2 port (which I'm sure it is) ; Repetitive and poor soundtrack

And Oxygen, if you're reading this, we know that you can do better than this..

King Of Clubs (2007)

While videogames are adept at conveying drama, horror and roller coaster-style, edge-of-your-seat excitement, most attempts at bringing humour to the world of console entertainment have fallen flat on their face; and while Grand Theft Auto, Conker???s...
