Kororinpa: Marble Mania

We all knew that Nintendo's newest console would be home to some truly quirky Japanese titles. We caught our first glimpse of Kororinpa when the big N displayed their upcoming...

Solid Gameplay ; Nice Level Design ; Flawless Control

Lack Of Variety ; Multi-Player Is Stale ; Overly Simple

Kororinpa Marble Mania Game Review–What Won't They Make A Game Of?

It seems like most every time I pick up a Wii game these days I wind up getting slightly freaked out about the whole thing and trying desperately to pin down where the hell the logic is in these things any more.  I've seen them make some truly baffling...

Kororinpa: Marble Mania

The audio is about as bland as it gets. I liked the almost too relaxing menu music. As for the levels, be prepared to hear the same song over and over and over. Every 10 or so stages share the same song, which means those songs will grow old very fast

Kororinpa: Marble Mania

Marble Madness. Marble Blast Ultra. Super Monkey Ball. There's something satisfying about rolling a ball through a complicated 3D world toward a goal. Marble Mania captures this feeling extremely well even if it does start off a little too slowly for...

Kororinpa: Marble Mania

When the Wii first launched, I reviewed Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, a launch title that I panned without mercy. Shocking as it may seem, remaking that game just a few months after its release with less features and even worse controls was not...

The Conclusion: Subpar in every way, Kororinpa: Marble Mania makes other bad games look good by comparison. Skip It.

Kororinpa: Marble Mania

I've lost my marbles.

In Kororinpa, the maze designs range from the fairly simple, to complex, but none really get to the point of frustration. Even after 40 missions, you still are wanting more. For veterans of this brand of entertainment, you will pass through this game...

Kororinpa: Marble Mania

The Wii audience seems to be split into two segments. One of them, the hardcore gaming crowd, is generally looking for new versions of games they've already played. They've beaten Zelda, and they're playing through Super Paper Mario right now. But,...

The ESRB rating on the front of the box says "everyone," and Kororinpa really is a game that can appeal to everyone. It's a simple concept to grasp despite its difficulty; its presentation is cute, candy-filled, and fun; and it's got some of the most...

Kororinpa: Marble Mania

Kororinpa: Marble Mania is going to be a hit or miss title for the Wii. A game channeling Monkey Ball, and Marble Madness, already is derivative, add in a generic feel, and you have a hard sell. So with most gamers out of the mix, that leaves you,...

Difficulty is spot on ; Controls really add to the experience

Bland game design ; Annoying Music

This is a hard sell, but if you like puzzles check it out. The game is rewarding, but bring your own music to the party.

Kororinpa: Marble Mania - Wii review at Thunderbolt Games

It's quiet inside the room. Or at least, you think it is. There's an upbeat tune coming out of the screen in front of you, and your breath is coming out in soft sighs. You've blocked the noise out, though; you're too distracted to notice your...
