Madden NFL 10

Madden NFL 10 on the Wii makes some great strides in differentiating itself from its counterparts, but it also neglects the major aspects that make those other versions so engaging.

Great new visual style ; Five-on-five is available in most modes ; Online play functions well

Controls need more precision ; Commentary is still poor ; Franchise and Superstar modes need major attention

A marvelous combination of real football and family-friendly fun

Ultra-smooth gameplay ; Stylized visuals ; Family-friendly variety

Passing is clunky ; No franchise mode ; May not please old-schoolers

Madden 10 is the best Wii game yet for families that love the NFL, as well as those whose Dads might want to prod little Johnny or Jenny into the fold. It’s not a perfect game, mind you, but it's a breath of fresh air that reminds you how invigorating...

Madden NFL 10

Madden gets a Wii facelift in both graphics and gameplay, as this year's edition separates itself from the rest of the pack.

Awesome multiplayer modes ; New art style fits the Wii well ; Huddle Up mode with four people

Franchise and Superstar mode locked at the start

Really doesn't make sense now. Thought it was going to be some kind of serial number code, specific to versions, trying to combat piracy and/or used game sales or something. Locking them with a regular type-in password that works on any copy doesn't...

Every year the football loving gamers of the nation wait with baited breath for that special day in August. In fact, many businesses lose a few workers for a day due to the launch of this one game. Only one title has the power to diminish the...

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed Madden 10. There are certain plays that are way more powerful than others, so it's a little hard finding the correctly balanced defense. Then again, that's the problem with real football as well, so no harm no foul. I...

Madden NFL 10 Review (Wii)

The Wii console has thus far been a conundrum for the sports gamer. On the one hand, some of the platform's most popular games fall within the sports genre: Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Punch-Out, etc. On the other hand, mainstream sports games are either...

Stylist new graphics. Great multiplayer modes. Accessible All-Play mode

Might turn traditional Madden fans off. Franchise mode untouched. Occasionally spotty controls

Madden NFL 10

If the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Madden NFL 10 look and feel as though they are pushing the series as close to realism as possible, the Wii version definitely feels as though it's heading in the opposite direction. The game is enjoyable...

Madden NFL 10 for the Wii just isn't the same experience as what you'll find on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Whilst no one expected to have the visual quality of those versions, it's probably not unreasonable to hope the game would have had the same...

Made The Playoffs, But Lost In The First Round

Breaking through a six man gang tackle to rush for a touchdown

Having to play the fight for the fumble mini-game when I was the only one near the ball when I fell on it

Superstar mode aside, Madden NFL 10 is the best Madden to have been released on a next-gen platform. While it may not be the definitive NFL experience football fans have been craving for the past twenty years, the additions of the new fight for the...

Madden NFL 10 Wii Review

21 years and EA's Madden series is still going strong and somehow they still manage to come up with some brand new features for each annual release. This year, the Wii is once again treated to a more specialised game, introducing features such as Point...

But regardless of the odd problem here and there, Madden NFL 10 on the Wii is yet another stellar entry in the 21-year-old series, bolstered once again by some enticing new features. The game has been designed to attract two very different audiences...

Madden NFL 10 Review

The Madden NFL series again returns to the Wii, and just like a John Madden commentated field goal - "It's Good!"

Madden NFL 10Madden NFL 10 has a distinct new look and feel that makes it more approachable by a wider audience. It still retains that authentic ‘Madden’ feel, just with an added injection of fun. Putting more emphasis on this fun side, rather than...
