Manhunt 2

Manhunt 2 will probably be a hit with fans of the original. Yet keep in mind that you won?t find anything close to the semi-compelling Running Man story that was told in the first one. Instead the game seems more like one mishap after another until you...

Manhunt 2

I imagine that without these edits much of the aesthetic would have changed, as the quick jumps and static used to obscure the most brutal violence adds atmosphere to what amounts to a demented cartoon. Considering what length Rockstar went to call...

The atmosphere of the game manages to be equal parts crazy and creepy

The controls are a mess, and much of the non execution combat is simple button mashing ; The violence clashes with the character they've designed, making much of the violence pointless

Either version of the game is equally mediocre. The story holds some promise, but the action is so frustrating it's too much work to get to the meat of it. Rockstar has become a victim of their own controversy, as this game could have slipped under the...

Manhunt 2

Don't worry! This review wasn't censored.

Wonderfully bleak atmosphere ; Fairly satisfying executions ; Interesting environments

Imprecise waggle and aiming controls ; Blurry and blocky graphics ; Weak AI ; Camera issues ; Too much graphical filter during executions

If Rockstar hadn't censored it there would be no Wii version. AO games are not allowed on any Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft platform.

Manhunt 2 (Wii) Review

Daniel Lamb wants the last 6 years of his life back. I just want the last 18 hours of mine.

The kills are censored. The graphics are five years old. The story sucks. The gameplay is full of glitches, and there is no payoff in the endings, just an excuse to make a sequel. Why did we care about this game again? Oh yes, controversy. The...

Manhunt 2

Manhunt 2 brings all the fun of a killing spree to the comfort of your living room.

Good voice work; interesting setting and characters

Boring combat; distorted visuals rob the executions of any impact

Manhunt 2

It took a few years for another Manhunt game to come out, but now it is finally here. This game almost didn't even make it onto store shelves. At first Manhunt 2 received an Adult rating due to a rape scene and the violence. Countries banned the game...

Manhunt 2 may not be as gruesome as the first game in the series, but that is fine by me. The camera work could have used a little touch up, same with the characters animations. It is a real shame this game had to be edited like this, if we could have...

Manhunt 2 review

Violence in video games is a touchy subject. Politicians of all stripes love to point to games like Mortal Kombat and Grand Theft Auto as evidence of an industry that fails to restrain itself. Manhunt gave them even more ammunition in 2003. Now that...

Manhunt 2 may be one of the most violent games in the industry's history, but it certainly is not the best. The stealth-action elements can be interesting, yet the controls and camera are just frustrating. The added interactive nature of the Wii (and...

Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure

In the role of a thoughtful urban rebel named Trane, players tag their way to greatness in this graffiti culture action-adventure. Set in the fictional city of New Radius, the game pits Trane against an overbearing, repressive government, and the hero mus

Manhunt 2

Rockstar is no stranger to controversy. In fact, you could argue that the company even welcomes it; no one is better at taking negative press and turning it into PR gold.

Motion-sensing assassinations are interesting, game's atmosphere is good ;

Clunky controls, mediocre graphics and repetitive gameplay ;

Still, Manhunt 2 is only mildly amusing and the violence and gore gets tired after a while. If you're into movies like Eli Roth's Hostel then this game's right up your alley. But, if you're looking for a thriller with a little more substance, you might...

An experiment at a secret research facility has gone catastrophically wrong. Daniel Lamb and Leo Kasper are the only surviving subjects. The Pickman Project will stop at nothing to hunt them down and stop the truth from getting out. Demented screams echo around the dank asylum that has caged you for the last six years. You open your eyes. A white-coated body slumps to the floor through your shaking hands. A bloody syringe slips from your arm. Waves of confusion and paranoia crash over you. You have no idea who you are or how you got here. The door to your cell is open. One choice. One chance. They took your life. Time to take it back.
