Marvel Super Hero Squad

The Marvel hero videogames including the new Ultimate Alliance 2 haven't been too keen on attracting younger players, so it makes sense to tap the toy/cartoon line Super Hero Squad. Marvel has done a great job in attracting the younger audience to...

This is the kind of game that will ensure more comic fans in the future ; Accessbile gameplay ; Great 80's cartoon story

The cheesiness and pure kid friendlyness is obviously going to make the "Comic Book Guy" types a little upset

While Marvel Ultimate Alliance slimmed down the bloated X-Men Legends, younger players were excluded from the development process and thier ability to simply “pick up and play” the game was limited. Super Hero Squad more closely resembles the all ages...

Marvel Super Hero Squad

This simple superhero game is a super bore.

Silly story is so bad that it's good ; Lots of different characters, with a healthy mix of the popular and obscure

Combat is dull and repetitive ; Awful camera when more than one player is onscreen ; Battle mode is severely imbalanced ; Archaic, unimaginative visuals

Super Hero Squad does a lot of the small things right, sacrificing some larger issues that should have been addressed. It is backwards game design in that regard since mechanics like combat and super powers needed to be adjusted along with fixing the...
