Need for Speed Nitro (Wii) Review

“You got the Need for Speed?” “Oh I've got some needs baby…”

Need for Speed Nitro is a fun arcade racer for the Wii. While there are only a handful of maps, each map is well designed with shortcuts and lots of little touches that make the course feel alive. The standard racing types are also present, with...

Need for Speed: Nitro

Painting (and driving) by numbers...

Fast, smooth visuals ; Nice sense of speed ; Can do a custom paint job with the Wii remote

Basic racing with squished cars ; Massively simplified handling ; No in-car view

As well as the normal circuit races there are drag races and a mode where you have to drive through checkpoints as quickly as possible. The game supports every type of control method you could think of, including one where you point at the screen and...

Need for Speed: Nitro - Wii

I Feel The Need, The Need To Play Another Game.

I like that more and more Wii games are going for that stylized look. It works well for the system

Need for Speed NITRO

"For the casual crowd, Need for Speed NITRO is undoubtedly a fun alternative with just enough production value to keep it from seeming overly stale."

Need for Speed Nitro Preview

The classic racing game gets a much-needed revival with new art cartoony art style that screeches cool.

Unless something goes horrible wrong leading up to its November 17th release, Need for Speed: Nitro looks like a fast paced and fun racer that'll help reenergize EA's lagging franchise. We just wish it came with online play. Split screen is so '90s.

Need for Speed: Nitro Wii Review

EA have made some interesting steps with the Need for Speed franchise on the 360 and the PS3. The recently released SHIFT took the series from the streets and placed it into proper racing circuits, whilst also attempting to make the handling more...

As the first Need for Speed game specifically built for the Wii, Nitro is a most enjoyable beginning to what is most likely a new series for Nintendo's current console. Being an arcade racer, this is aimed at those who like to have plenty of fun...

Need for Speed Nitro

Cav takes a spin in the Need for Speed franchise specifically developed for the Wii ... but is this really the right platform for it?

Good Controller selection - Lots of unlocks - Creativity encouraged with vehicle modification and painting

Boring and repetative - Slight learning curve depending on your controller selection

Some kid will like it..... not that a G Rating instantly means this is for kids. Rent it, play it, take it back. I'm sure Santa brought you better games for Christmas, if he brought you this and it's still in it's plastic trade that bad boy in.
