NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams (Wii)

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is the kind of game you'll want to love. It squarely turns its back on the gritty realism that pervades next-gen games in favor of a brightly colored world of pure fantasy. It speaks to the child in you, not to try and sell it...

Nights: Journey of Dreams Review

Nights finally makes his comeback, although it's probably not what you were waiting for...

Adorable soundtrack ; Nightopians remain the same ; Wii Weather Channel integration

Atrocious voice work ; New gameplay insults classic formula ; Nights has lost the magic

Sonic Team have failed to deliver the revolutionary sequel that Nights 2 needed to be, instead offering a tired update with bland new sections in a desperate attempt to dress it up as a new IP. If you've never played Nights before, chances are Journey...

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams review for the WII

The She-Man in the Purple Suit

Gorgeous music; Occasionally beautiful environments; Compelling gameplay concepts

Dated; Stiff controls; Bosses get progressively dull

Online racing can be done against a random opponent sans friend codes or against a friend if you've exchanged all 3000 digits. There's also a very simplified online ranking system in race mode, but don't expect full-blown leaderboards. "My Dream" mode...

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams - Wii review at Thunderbolt Games

Hey. You awake? Don't be so sure. How do you know? You could be slumped in your chair, drenching your keyboard in drool. Maybe the morning sunlight is creeping through the nearest window. It's not like that would wake you up, anyway. You're too...

Review: NiGHTS Journey of Dreams

Ask any of the 20 or so people who owned one of Sega's 32-bit Saturn gaming consoles back in the 90s what their game of choice was and most will immediately answer with Nights Into Dreams.... Developed by Sega's in-house Sonic Team, the game featured a...

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams

How does the long-awaited Sega sequel hold up for someone new to the series?

Flying is simple, fun, and exciting ; High quality, addictive music ; Great use of Wii's online features ; Clever, graphically impressive boss battles

Shoddy filler gameplay ; Overbearing and undercooked story ; Camera is often zoomed in too far

The Ghost Squad Wii team obviously didn't touch this.

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams

Ever dream that you could fly? Sega invites you to soar one more time.

Creative, vibrant visuals; fun boss battles; magical soundtrack

Weak platforming levels; frame rate hitches; poor Wii remote controls

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams Review

No, I didn't miss a capital letter up there in the review title, there really is a lowercase i in the game's name. Don't ask me why, I've got absolutely no clue -- it has been this way since the Sega Saturn original. I remember getting a chance to play...

Overall, NiGHTS is not a bad game. Flying around is still as fun as it was the first time around on the Sega Saturn, though this time it is more because of the quality of world design as opposed to the tight controls of the last edition of this game....
