Project Zero 2: Wii Edition

Is this spirit-snapping story a spooktacular success?

Enough new content for veterans to play over again, Looks even prettier than ever before, New perspective and item grabbing is much creepier than the original, One of the best ghost story games ever made

Controls take some patience to master, No Japanese voice option, bland English dub

Project Zero 2: Wii Edition Review

Rich atmosphere that heightens tension, Shocks are timed with Hitchcockian precision, Excellent use of the remote speaker, Defeating tough enemies produces overwhelming relief

Haunted House mode is tacky, Camera's roving eye adds unneeded ick factor

Project Zero 2: Crimson Butterfly (Wii) Review

Original narrative that keeps the game moving., Plenty of collectibles to be found., New content for returning fans, including Haunted House mode., Great visuals help anchor the setting and characters., A standalone 9-10 hour game.

Motion controls add very little to the experience., Polish does little to cover up the out-dated design and mechanics., It’s fairly easy to get lost during later chapters.

Project Zero 2 review

Unique concept. Great horror theme and visuals. Chilling audio and voices through the Wii Remote.

Slow Story. Slow Gameplay. Slow characters. Average voice acting. Minimal sense of achievement. Second player gaming seems like an afterthought.

Project Zero 2: Wii Edition

While the idea of shunting a decade-old PS2 horror game onto Nintendo's soon-to-be-usurped family console may sound like a recipe for disaster, playing Project Zero 2 feels better than ever using the Wii motion controls. A survival horror game that...

There aren't many games that have you anxious to slide aside a curtain; Project Zero 2: Wii Edition does. It's a fine example of a survival horror game despite some awkward controls and an over-reliance on cut scenes that occasionally break the moment....
