Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles

What could be more fun than killing hordes of vicious zombies? Shooting even more of them, apparently, only this time by using the Wii Zapper. That's exactly how Nintendo and Capcom are hoping to attract gamers in their soon to be released horror...

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (2007)

When Umbrella Chronicles was first unveiled last summer, most critics - Empire included - feared it was little more than a House Of The Dead rip-off with prettier zombies. And while that description is still a handy way to sum up the experience, deep...

a review of what happened from resident evil zero- resident evil 3 and more, with a few cuttings

sometimes you put so much effort in shooting a monsters weak point [zombies head for instance] and suddenly the camera shifts. the question comes into mind as to what is the point of having these ideas and features if these sort of things [sudden shift...

what is good about this game is that it tells the story of what happened in resident evil zero to a few parts beyond that of resident evil 3. there are a few added stories here and there, such as weskers mysterious story but there are a few problems if...

the game is bad in such that you don't have control of anything. the entire game plays as an interactive movie and that is very bad. if a monster comes your way, you have to destroy it, knock it down by hitting weak points or simply take the hit. there...

Awesome Game for a RE Fan

Bought this ro replace Lite-on that had problems with the tray opening. Newegg is the best. Order 1 day, delivery the next or within 2 days. Can't beat that!

Its like a RE Timeline, awesome idea i thought so i had to have the game, the 1st person view of the game is really a turn around for me an took some adjusting an this is by no means an easy game, excellent for a challenge by turning the difficulty up...

Eh

Don't play it very much. Never seemed worth the effort of learning.

1st person shooter for the Wii

Control of movement is very limited. Graphics are OK but not the quality of other modern consoles

Zombies, dogs and tyrants? Oh my!

The Wii Zapper actually makes it harder to play this game in my opinion.

The concept of shooting zombies first person is very cool. The way the Wii-mote acts as a gun is really cool and makes the game feel more realistic(Controls are very arcade-like). Fills in some gaps in the story that the other games don't cover.

It's a lot like the older games it was made from, but the problem is it isn't enough like them. They change some stuff in the story around. Also, I've noticed that it's sometimes hard to reload. The game itself is kinda hard as well.

Too slow...

I normally love light gun games and I normally love Resident evil. However, they do not work well together. Playing this game solo is like pulling teeth. I traded it in for Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and haven't looked back.

A ton of game play (~20hrs) and very interactive environments.

The game moves so slowly that I could barely stand to play. It is hard to see if you hit/hurt an enemy and reloading is hard to do with the Wii Zapper. Boss fights are boring.

Now I know how the character feels

Seems like zombies get tougher for the later on levels... especially with 2 players or more takes a lot more shots to take down a zombies in the later levels

Makes arcade shooter games fun instead of the usual house of the dead series.

Minor con is all you do is shoot.

Lacking compared to previous RE titles...

I thought that Resident Evil 4 was a much better game.

Good graphics, can be some fun in multiplayer mode.

This game is not like the previous Resident Evil games. As other reviewers have noted, it is more of a shooter than anything else. You do not have control to more/explore, and there aren't really puzzles to solve like in the other games.

Know what you're in for

This game is pretty much like the archade style of "house of the dead." Keep in mind that your wii remote's movement is relative to your screen like a mouse. It does NOT point to exactly where your pointing like in the archade. This makes it a little...

No brainer fun, learning curve almost non existent. Just point and shoot at anything that moves.

Game is relatively short, Numbchuck is useless, aiming isn't what I expected. I wish numbchuck is used for reloading instead of the remote.
