Sin and Punishment: Star Successor

I don't even like shooters much, and this game still rocked my world.

Fantastic bosses ; Great controls ; Non-stop action ; Cool high score mechanic

Even in easy mode, it's tough

I've always been pretty terrible at shoot-'em-ups, and while Nintendo and Treasure's latest collaboration isn't a typical entry in the genre, it has a lot in common with bullet hell, high score-focused shooters. However, Sin & Punishment: Star...

Sin and Punishment - Wii review at Thunderbolt Games

Saki's having a bad day. Well, worse than usual. His morning started with a shootout. Nothing too serious; Saki is one Hell of a gunslinger, and these Armed Volunteer goons can be taken out with a few bullet sprays. He must have murdered dozens – no,...

E3 2009: Sin and Punishment 2

Every once in a while Nintendo decides to throw its hardcore audience a bone, and in the case of Sin and Punishment 2, it's a fairly large bone. While most fans of the series would have been content to just see a proper localization and refresh to the...

Games review - Sin And Punishment: Successor Of The Skies is a treasure

The new game from cult developer Treasure is not just one of the best shooters of the year but one of the most imaginative and flat out crazy of all time.

Gloriously creative visuals, levels and bosses. Perfect controls. Good range of difficulty levels

The co-op mode is a Super Mario Galaxy style fudge. If anything the levels are too long for a score attack

Treasure is at the top of their game in this endlessly inventive master class in on-the-rails shooting.

There are so many standout moments in Sin and Punishment 2 that it would be criminal to describe anymore as they’re best experienced firsthand. From start to epic finish this is a near-perfect example of a classic shoot-‘em-up redefined for modern...

Sin & Punishment 2

Pay very close attention, especially those people who want more of Nintendo's Japanese games to come to North America. The success of Sin & Punishment 2 will determine if we get to see other franchises come to this side of the Pacific. It was a...

S&P2 also rewards players who avoid getting hit with a nifty multiplier which grows after every successful kill but is reset once you are hit. This added bonus will give players more incentive to play through a level after completion to improve their...

It's a very good shooter that has reviewed well on its release, but it is definitely rock-hard. From the second level onwards I was really struggling. If it's the sort of old-school challenge that you savour, then this game is for you in spades. If Wii...
