Sing Party does a competent job of letting you sing a bunch of songs and occasionally earn points doing so.

Nice presentation that's easy on the eyes ; Works with a wide range of USB microphones ; Varied soundtrack that offers something for everybody

No real value in playing alone ; Lack of online features compared to similar games

It's nothing particularly special, but Sing Party does deliver a solid singing experience with a slick interface and local multiplayer options that are easy to get into. You may not like every song in the package, but according to the box, more songs...

Sing Party Review: Capitalizing on the Obvious

 

Wii U launches with a karaoke game that does what it says on the box, if not much else.

I was walking around Tokyo's Akihabara district a few months ago in the wake of Tokyo Game Show when a friend of mine who lives in Japan noticed a wall of Wii U promotional material.
