Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People: Homestar Ruiner - Wii Software

Meets our cooler review for stunning readers

Replicates tone perfectly ; Same great voice actors ; Will induce laughter

Little introduction to characters ; Puzzles a bit too easy ; Not much of a story

While you don’t have to be a Homestar Runner fan to play, it definitely helps. There’s little introduction to the characters, save Strong Bad, who proclaims his awesomeness immediately. As befits the series, the story is purposefully slight - you...

Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People: Episode 1 - Homestar Ruiner

When Telltale Games first announced that Mike and Matt Chapman's Homestar Runner license would be the subject of its latest episodic series, the two divergent responses were either “Perfect! How brilliant!” or “What the heck is Homestar Runner?” For...

Excellent fan-service, with all the main cartoon characters making an appearance; lots of amusing dialogue; great voice acting; light, simple gameplay is perfect for newer players; available on WiiWare as well as PC

Puzzles aren't terribly interesting or fresh; story is weak; game world is sparse in detail and fairly lifeless

More enjoyable for existing series fans, Homestar Ruiner provides a light, enjoyable experience that succeeds mostly as a platform for its humor.

I only learned recently, but before becoming a game Strong Bad was an internet phenomenon and still is to this very day. The luchador mask-wearing character quickly became one of the most popular characters of the Homestar Runner universe, a well...

Being the short game that it is, Asking 1000 Wii Points (around £7) for Homestar Ruiner may be asking a little too much. An argument could be made that when you buy all five episodes together it’s only around £35, making it good value for money in the...
