The Beatles: Rock Band

Rock Band developer Harmonix once stated that, unlike their former partners at Guitar Hero publisher Activision, they would not be pursuing band specific games. This put the focus solely on the Rock Band Music Store, where week after week of...

The Beatles: Rock Band (Xbox 360) Review

The Fab 4 come to the console front packing a huge assortment of true remasters for the first time in decades. Bringing a few twists to the game, players get to experience Rock Band and The Beatles in a new light.

When the Fab Four hit America, they set off a storm in the music industry, filling the airwaves with a new sound and Beatlemania from coast-to-coast. Generations later, gamers get a chance to relive not only the catalog of The Beatles but many of their...

Review: The Beatles: Rock Band (PS3)

If you're not familiar with Harmonix's work on the Guitar Hero franchise and its various branchings, here's a quick primer. Harmonix had a runaway hit with their Guitar Hero rhythm game which featured a special guitar controller, and it made Activision...

The Beatles: Rock Band

All you need is love (of the Beatles)

Background animations and videos are great ; A suitably reverential tribute ; Doesn't mess with the classic mixes

Menus look a bit spartan ; Some of the song choices are a bit dodgy ; Occasional dead spots for vocalists

It would be interesting to find out how many people actually use the game to its full potential on a regular basis. Not many, we’ll wager. But the extras aren't essential, and the game is Rock Band regardless of whether you have the skill, inclination,...

The Beatles: Rock Band

The best of both worlds combined into one fabulous package.

Perfectly blends art style with music ; Vocal Harmonies ; Six players can play at once ; The Beatles have a huge amount of great songs

Framerate issues with large numbers of players ; Lots of classic Beatles songs aren't on the default track list

That was the biggest draw for me actually. It seems like a waste to me... Guess I'll be right to hold off on getting this.

The Beatles: Rock Band

Yes, Harmonix promised to do "something different" with The Beatles: Rock Band. And yes, it's still readily recognizable as a Rock Band game. But honestly, people, what did you expect? An open-world sandbox where you design shirts to help make ends...

In terms of actual gameplay, Beatles: Rock Band does nothing revolutionary. Where the revolution occurs, instead, is in the game's presentation, which brings new life -- and a new type of life -- to the static genre.

The Beatles: Rock Band

A much-hyped game offers a virtual reunion of the world's most beloved band.

But this is a family game, and one notable bit of subversion is plenty. The Beatles: Rock Band lets the Fab Four reclaim their role as the pre-eminent purveyors of pop psychedelia. It’s been decades since The Beatles first touched a tab to the world’s...

The Beatles: Rock Band

Stellar presentation and vocal harmonies help make The Beatles: Rock Band something special in the world of music games.

Beautifully intertwines music with art design ; Vocal harmonies add an exciting dimension to gameplay ; Playing an instrument and singing at the same time is incredibly fun ; Engenders great sense of band unity ; Lots of great Beatles songs

Lots of great Beatles songs aren't included ; No drum fills or end-of-song jam sessions

The Beatles: Rock Band Review

Beatlemania rises again as The Fab Four convince us to pick up the platic guitars...

Undeniably about as brilliant as a band specific music title can get, The Beatles Rock Band easily outstretches the confines of just being a music game into something that guarantees great times for all - provided of course you're not one of the...

Beatles: Rock Band, The

Further proof that you can have fun with a little help from your friends.

Beautiful presentation; three-part harmonies are a blast; lots of extras; Beatle Beats are a fun challenge

More songs would have been nice; if you're not a Beatles fan, this isn't the game for you
