The Bigs 2

Delivering the goods even better the second time around

Tense head-to-head battles ; Two major single-player modes ; Gobs of variety

No online options ; Clunky standard waggle control ; PS2-style visuals

Complaints aside, though, The Bigs 2 on the Wii is still a big-time winner. In fact, it’s our favorite baseball game of the season, even if it's really just an action game dressed up in pinstripes.

Bigs 2, The

Growing up, my brother would always rent baseball games - and I always found myself bored - except when it came to one title; Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 for the SNES. Now, I realize that some of our younger readers may not be too familiar with the...

When it comes to Cheats I'd like to see for The Bigs 2, the obvious ones are unlimited turbo, unlocked items (jerseys, stadiums, and legend players) and maybe an easy homerun mode. I'd love to see some retro cheats as well, the type that don't really...

The Bigs 2

It's like baseball. Only bigger.

Crass, bombastic, ridiculous? Perhaps. Fun? Definitely.

The Bigs 2 (2009) on Wii

The Bigs 2 on Wii isn't a bad game, it just isn't nearly as exciting or fun as its cousins on PS3 and Xbox 360. Many of the features – Big Heat, Big Slam, wheelhouse zones, legendary catches – are still intact, but it was clearly a rough conversion to...

The Bigs 2 review

If you are like me, you firmly believe that sports games have gone the way of the World War II first person shooter: way too many of them, with too little variation. Enter The Bigs 2, a fast paced arcade-styled baseball game with a pretty promising...

The Bigs 2 is a fun game for a little while, but the constant insanity of the A.I. and their invulnerable skill level gets old after a few hours. The different game modes give the game a decent amount of replay value, but you will not be coming back...

"Grand Slam Game"

Baseball is perfectly suited for the Wii, and The Bigs 2 takes full advantage of that. The game has a more arcade style approach to the game, so a baseball novice can easily pick up the remote and start playing, or if you know your way around the...

"A sports game that gets the best from the wii. "

Initially the reaction time does seem a bit off, but, once you've played a couple of innings you start to get to grips and it comes naturally. Career mode stands out as the best feature of the game, with the home run derby adding a bit of bash and...

"its a homerun"

It good to finally have a real sports game to play on the Wii. the controls are great and work well with the smooth game play. The game provides for many variations on the use of the wii controls, from remote to the classic. There are a number...
