The Conduit 2

We Don't Need No Stinking ‘The'

An enjoyable FPS, fixes the blandness of the first game, lots of cool secrets, Balloon Battle multiplayer

Pilfers almost everything from other better FPSs, short single-player story, some glitches, occasionally too dark to see anything

First, the important stuff… is that Duke Nukem? Why yes, Jon St. John himself has taken over duties as main character Michael Ford, which as far as names go, doesn’t beat his other role. The voice acting in Conduit 2 is passable, but no one sounds...

The Conduit 2 Review

Mr. Ford, Professional BAMF. It's on my business card.

Interesting, hilarious story; Solid motion controls; Frenetic, furious combat without being cheap

Graphics are a little iffy; Getting into a multiplayer lobby can take a long time; The Aegis Device can catch bullets and throw them in your face

Conduit 2 Review

Conduit 2 has arrived to save Wii owners from a drought of games. Can this first-person shooter overcome a few critical flaws?

The Conduit

The Wii has become a sort of mecca for shovelware, lackluster forays in minigames, and other throwaway adventures that are nowhere near the $30-$50 you might be spending on each of them. First-person shooters are very hit-or-miss on the console as...

Fantastic controls ; An interesting and engaging story if you can keep up with its popcorn-like telling ; High production values ; Succeeds in being a great FPS

Story is hard to follow in the manner it's told ; The enemies will get very boring ; It's not a very hard game

All in all, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by The Conduit and most of what it has to offer, save for a few rough edges and banalities that could have been easily avoided. If you're looking for some great (albeit generic) FPS action on a...

The Conduit

System: Wii ESRB: T, blood, mild language and violence, Multiplayer: Up to 12 over Nintendo's Wi-fi service. Developer: High Voltage Software Release date: June 23, 2009 How do I introduce a game like The Conduit? It has been in development for...

Dredge come in several varieties, with different skills or abilities depending on the breed. Drones are standard shock troopers, and while plentiful and armed with a formidable weapon, aren’t particularly fast. Mite’s are quick and spawn from egg...

Review: The Conduit

Nintendo mentioned The Conduit as being part of the holy trinity of hardcore games to appease players not happy with the seemingly lightweight fare offered up at their E3 press conference. While The Conduit does deliver first-person shooter goodness on...

Goldeneye-esque ONLINE 12-player multiplayer without Friend Codes, unique and intuitive control schemes, decent graphics for the Wii, excellent voicework and writing, supports Wii Speak

Clipping and hit-detection issues, indoor environments are sparse and bland, online can lag a bit, online maps picked by vote not by amount of players, lack of CG cutscenes, derth of diversity in enemies, tin-sounding weapons, grenades in my...

Without a fully fleshed out (online-only) multiplayer component, I probably would have dropped the score for The Conduit at least a full point… maybe more. But Wii owners have been starved for competitive first-person action for so long. So long...

The Consensus: The Conduit Review

Sega brings hardcore first-person shooting to the Wii.

Great, highly customizable controls; fantastic multiplayer mode that doesn't require Wii friend codes; nice graphics

Relatively dull single-player levels; underutilized ASE device; lame storyline

Wii owners have been waiting a while for a top-notch FPS to call their own, and although the single-player mode has its faults, The Conduit's multiplayer experience helps to lessen the pain. Hopefully, other companies follow Sega and High Voltage's...

The Conduit review

In need of a good First Person Shooter for the Wii, High Voltage went to work on one. It was unveiled at E3 2008 as The Conduit, although it lacked a publisher at the time. It quickly gained attention of the gaming media as a Wii shooter that could...

The Conduit mostly lives up to the hype that preceded it. The single-player story only lasts about five or six hours, but can be replayed on higher difficulties. Which reminds me, the AI in The Conduit is absolutely brutal. Of the five difficulties...

The Conduit- Wii

The Conduit has definitely opened the doors for future greatness in the first person shooter genre, but its downfalls, especially the repetitive and boring gameplay have kept it from becoming a must have title that it was projected to be. Maybe with a...
