Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Lara Croft, a name that is synonymous with the video game vixen. After eleven games, two movies, and an animated series, she has come full circle. The original Tomb Raider has been remade, or in this case Wiimade for the punsters in the room, and...

Graphical upgrade was a complete overhaul, and it looks great ; Huge amount of bonus features is great fan service ; Game is still engaging after all these years

But some aspects of the game feel pretty hokey when placed in the context of today's games. Maybe a complete reworking of the game with the same story should have been in order ; Camera and aiming is a huge chore

Lara has evolved a lot in the last decade, and her original adventure is given the facelift to match her newer forms. The game still provides a compelling adventure, albeit a frustrating one. The camera and aiming are deplorable, but after some time it...

Tomb Raider Anniversary

Is a nunchuk enough to take down a T-Rex? Almost.

Nintendo owners finally get to play; nunchuk grappling hook is a kick; strong graphics

Targeting and shooting work poorly; the camera isn't always your friend

Tomb Raider: Anniversary Review

Further proof that adding waggle controls doesn't translate to a better game.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary offers a ton of terrific puzzles, and it's a grand quest, but unfortunately for Wii owners, this is easily the worst iteration. If all you own is a Wii, you probably owe it to yourself to rent the game, but the Wii-specific...

Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Your first girlfriend is just as sizzling hot as you remember her

Presentation and gameplay are spot-on ; No Gears of War, but still pretty ; Puzzles are designed well

Controls often get in the way of fun ; Framerate issues despite PS2 graphics ; Not a new adventure

Tomb Raider: Anniversary Review

Lara returns for a second adventure on Xbox 360, this time at retail and digital download via Xbox Live...

Bargain price via Xbox Live Marketplace ; Clever puzzle design ; Continues to show 'Legend' engine well

Requires 'Legend' to download from XL ; Adrenaline/Headshots feel tacked on ; Camera requires too much direct control

As an experiment to push the capabilities of downloadable content over Xbox Live, there's little to doubt Anniversary's originality - on Microsoft's console at least. However, a few extra touches to the lighting and a few soaked vests aside, the Xbox...

Tomb Raider Anniversary Review

Lara's back, celebrating the game that put her on the map eleven years previously...

Bargain price via Xbox Live Marketplace ; Clever puzzle design ; Continues to show 'Legend' engine well

Requires 'Legend' to download from XL ; Adrenaline/Headshots feel tacked on ; Camera requires too much direct control

Like a middle-aged makeover, Tomb Raider Anniversary papers over the nooks and crannies, but it can't conceal the aged and dated overall structure. But that's not to say that Tomb Raider fans won't gain any enjoyment from the title.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary (Wii) review

Lara Croft's return to her gaming roots also proves to be a return to form, especially on Wii...

This reminds us why we loved Tomb Raider all those years ago, and it massively improves the original's gameplay.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Imagine Indiana Jones was a curvy British gal in shorts who carried twin pistols. Now imagine her in a computer game, searching ancient ruins for artifacts while fending off vicious wolves and bears. This was essentially the pitch for the first Tomb...

Tomb Raider Anniversary is a great way to remind yourself of an iconic heroine and wets the appetite for the November release of Tomb Raider: Underworld on all major formats. Okay, we really just play it because we like women running around in tight...

So much Potential, but so glitchy!!!!

I began to i love this game, just like the original, good story and gameplay. controls are a bit dodgy and camera is stiff but playable. Although in the sceond location which isnt very far into it, i got stuck with a glitch that actually prevented me...
