Top Spin 3 Review

There's more to life than great controls, just not here.

Spot on controls, challenging AI, nice selection of tennis professionals

No create a player, career mode is underwhelming, no online modes

Graphically, the game is a mixed bag with player animations looking nice, but crowds and settings looking sparse and lifeless. Sound is equally uninteresting, providing the bare minimum of what you'd need in a tennis experience. It's as if the majority...

Top Spin 3

Not to be confused with a great tennis simulation, Top Spin 3 is a great tennis simulation... that is, unless you're talking this here Wii version of the game, which is not a great tennis simulation, it's just based on one.

Though based on the frightfully exacting PlayStation3 and Xbox360 version of the game, Top Spin 3 for Wii has been noticeably stripped down, dumbed-down and, frankly, washed out for play in Nintendo's fun-for-all system.

It's a little more complex than Wii Sports, but not too much.

Simple-to-learn control scheme; fun multiplayer modes

Unimpressive visuals; Wii Remote positioning detection can be off

The most realistic tennis game ever? Really?

Offers more control than Wii Sports ; Four-player party mode ; Realistic" physics

Annoying sound and music ; Slooowwwwwwww ; Buttons for swinging would be better

So, there you have it. Quite unsatisfactory. The more we think about it, the better it makes Sega Superstars Tennis seem, and if you’re in the market for some ball-battering fun that isn’t Wii Sports, then that's really your only decent Wii tennis...

2K's Top Spin 3 has been highly anticipated on the Wii, especially since the producers continually promised hyper-realistic gameplay and graphics, as well as a pool of accurately modelled world famous players to choose from. To some degree, TS3 for the...

If you’ve beat all the pros in Wii Sports' highly enjoyable tennis game, then you might just be ready for the hardcore challenge of Top Spin 3.

Top Spin 3- Wii

I found that there were a nice variety of shots to play in this game. It is, however very dificult to play the most appropriate shot at the right point in a rally. It would probably be better to use a wireless nunchuck (mine isn't and the wire...
