Fire up Trackmania from the Wii menu and you're immediately presented with a brisk, crisp and stylish intro clip that is sure to get the blood circulating. Once you've set up a profile - with three separate slots available for different users - there...

Large assortment of tracks in solo campaign ; Ability to create own tracks ; Contains some really enjoyable music

Poor multiplayer sharing and racing support ; Can get very frustrating ; Inferior in nearly every way to the PC version

The cult PC online racing sim is here for the Wii...

TrackMania on the Wii feels very similar to the PC versions, which is a real compliment to the developers. The quick, fun, arcade gameplay and accessibility should appeal to all and it turns out to be rather addictive once hooked. There is great...

Let's be honest - there aren't many real reasons to wipe the dust from your Nintendo Wii and boot its poor innards into action any more. Between the kiddy overload and workout bonanzas, 2010 hasn't exactly been the year of the big Wii hitters, and our...

The menu controls are also an utter mess. Pause the game during play, and you'll be able to control the menu with the Wii Remote held sideways. Yet go back to the main menus, and the game now wants you to point and click, with the d-pad controls now...

Trackmania Wii is hugely addictive, but also terribly sloppy. The final game should have been much better.

TrackMania: Build to Race is a fun, different racing game. The gameplay is fast and addicting and there's a lot to do. It does get frustratingly difficult, and I wish it looked better, but it's still a game that racing fans should check out.

Complex stunt tracks, particular handling, and demanding target times can occasionally conspire to edge the game into frustrating, obstructive difficulty, but tenacious and skilful drivers should enjoy rising to the challenge.

TrackMania Wii is a fantastic racer that will provide many hours of excellent single player and local multiplayer action. If you can get a bunch of friends to buy a copy too, you'll also have plenty of fun bashing around online.

It's a bit slow to get going in single-player, but everything else makes up for that by being good fun. Trackmania isn't perfect - it looks ropey and sometimes runs poorly - but those of you looking to flex their creative muscles should definitely take...

I have no idea what the development budget was for Trackmania Wii, but with more resources it could have easily been the most impressive racer on the platform. As it is, it's hugely addictive, but also terribly sloppy. The final game should have been...

Trackmania- Wii

Its cars are fairly bland in look but gloriously quirky in feel, while the wackiest track designs you'll encounter in any racer are couched in sterile environments. In short, it takes having fun extremely seriously. As long as you've got the patience...
