Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga

Let me preface this review with the following statements: First of all, I have a lot of respect for XSEED Games. They've provided excellent localizations for a lot of great, niche JRPGs. Their reputation, at one time, landed them an exclusive contract...

Concluding thoughts: you have to be feeling starved for an RPG on the Wii to want to play this game. Granted, there's nothing else like it on the Wii. But if I had to choose, I'd more quickly turn to Muramasa or Final Fantasy IV: The After Years....

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga

The PSP series make the leap to the Wii, but struggles here just as much as it did on the portable.

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga is not a bad game. It is a horrible game. It's also not a buggy or incomplete game. It feels like it was finished about 13 years ago--for the Playstation 1. Valhalla Knights wouldn't even have been a good game on the...

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga Review

Fantasy games seem to be popping up everywhere now a day, and the Wii takes no exception to that. With XSeed Games newest Wii title Valhalla Knights: Elder Saga now available, will it hold its own on the console? Or will it simply be a story we all...

Valhalla Knights: Elder Saga is just simply a bad game. The repetition and the poor level design make playing a game a chore instead of making it fun. I tried to have a good time with it, but the only thing I can say I enjoyed was managing what...

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga" is the most disappointing RPG to date for the Nintendo Wii.

Can be a very long game ; Plenty of quests

Very clunky and unresponsive controls ; Combat is a chore ; Boring special moves ; Extremely repetitious gameplay ; Terrible story ; Ugly visuals ; Overly difficult ; Lacking level system

Unless you've played every other RPG in the world, this probably isn't a good choice. However, if you own a PSP, the portable original title is definitely a great buy.

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga Review

When choosing between demanding manual labor and Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga, choose the labor.

Integrated battle system; Mercenaries

Ugly as hell; Tedious beyond reason; Bad story and characters; Cumbersome gameplay

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga

The game equivalent of Nyquil

Combining skills from multiple jobs ; Scenery changes in second episode ; Pressing the 1 button to skip pointless cutscenes

Changing equipment exclusively in towns ; Sleep-inducing cutscenes ; Where the eff am I?" moments

Ultimately, Valhalla Knight: Eldar Saga suffers from an overall lack of polish, as well as being an all-around boring game. Only those starved for an action RPG should think of treading the lands of Eldar. Everyone else need not apply.

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga (Wii) Review

The lands of Eldar set the stage for a new battle, Valhalla Knights throws players right into the heart of the battle for the future, taking up the Hero title players must reunite the races and fight for Victory.

Once a battlefield to the Spirit King, Eldar has since been deemed "Origin of Chaos" because of its history, in which demons and monsters had marched into war against an alliance of races. The ensuing conflict nearly destroyed the entire world. Now...

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga

There was once a little game for the Dreamcast called Phantasy Star Online (PSO).? It was a popular title that launched the RPG series into the wide, recently booming, world of the internet.? Players could join up in thousands of beam saber waving...

VK:ES has so many shortcomings and fundamental issues that it makes it impossible to enjoy any of its good qualities. It's a title that only the hardest of the hardcore action adventure fans might tolerate.

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga (2009) on Wii

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga expands upon the series by introducing a new online feature that allows two players to adventure through the land of Eldar co-operatively. Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga continues the series trademark of no random encounters...
