We Ski

Every now and then a game comes along that just makes you say “now that is just a little bit of alright”. Namco's latest Wii offering is certainly a prime...

Plenty to see and do ; Great use of motion control ; Balance Board support

Controls can be complex at first ; Balance Board support feels limited

We Ski

Every gaming console needs a skiing/snowboarding game – there's a bylaw somewhere that specifically states this – so it made sense that We Ski would show up for the Wii. It makes even more sense when a person thinks about how a Wiimote and nunchuck...

Balance board adds to immersion factor ; Mii integration is a welcome feature ; Lots of races and unlocakables

Fun for about 20 minutes ; Races blend together ; No snowboarding

If you bought the balance board, give this one a rent.

We Ski review for the WII

Pizza? French fries? More like Brussels Sprouts.

Slick control scheme; Easy-to-navigate map; Best skiing available on the Wii

In a field of total disasters.; Invisible grading rubric; Low on content and challenge; Damn you, wedeln

Casual fun

So you are probably wondering if We Ski actually has any gameplay mixed within its open world mountain. The answer to that is yes, as there are well over 100 challenges for the player to complete. We Ski features everything from running errands,...

We Ski

We Ski can be viewed as yet another "quasi-game" to grace the Nintendo Wii; something meant to appeal to a broader audience than much of the modern catalog of videogames. For those not seeking a deep, engaging experience, however, the game will...

For those not seeking a deep, engaging experience, the game will provide a small and simple sandbox to play in, along with solid usage of the Wii's motion controls and the console's newest input device, the Balance Board.

We Ski

From the moment the animated snowflakes start falling, there's no doubt We Ski (surprisingly not Wii Skii) is not Grand Theft Auto: Bunny Slope. Using the sickeningly adorable Mii characters (or in-game created characters, if you please) and a...

And in the End...Most older players won't get an extended life out of We Ski, as the game play can get a bit repetitive, and starts out very easy, though for families looking to play together, it's worth every penny. It all depends what kind of player...

We Ski

So has Wii Fitness already got the boot, has your daily workout already become a maybe another time sort of thing? Well you don't want your brand

We Ski is a game that I would recommend checking out if you already bought Wii Fit, otherwise I would wait to check this one out. This is not a perfect game, it has some issues, and could have used a bit more work, but in the end it still is enjoyable...

We Ski

There's no business like pressure sensitive peripheral business

Big free-roaming mountain ; Subtle balance board controls ; Charming style

Touchy controls ; Somewhat simplistic visuals ; Full experience needs balance board

Remote wobble may have more creative possibilities than the balance board, but We Ski is perfect proof of the immersion Nintendo's wallet straining piece of kit can offer. So, balance board on trial? We Ski acquits the blubbery priced blubber-buster...

What We Ski lacks in complexity, it makes up for with precision control and good old-fashioned charm.
