The Legends and Superstars of the WWE collide in THQ's new arcade brawler, but does a complex control scheme spoil WrestleMania?

This arcade-style grappler brings the fun back into the ring.

Are you ready... are you ready to face my Undertaker?" whines Paul Bearer eerily from the set of The Funeral Parlor. Standing next to Bearer is the undead superstar, wearing his trademark Undertaker's hat and purple gloves. As you progress through this...

Does this WWE arcade brawler strike from the top rope, or succumb to the Rock Bottom?

Easy-to-learn gameplay ; Fun, nostalgia-driven content ; Supports multiple controller types, including GameCube

Too easy ; Not much campaign content ; Limited roster

It's probably better when playing against a friend.

WWE All Stars

WWE Smackdown VS Raw has been THQ's flagship wrestling franchise since the days of PlayStation, entertaining many fans with its ever-expanding career modes that replicate the TV experience. This year, as well as the usual Smackdown VS Raw release, THQ...

Presentation troubles can usually be ignored if the gameplay is there, but unfortunately presentation is a big part of what WWE All Stars was supposed to be all about - over the top, arcade gameplay. Without the visual effects of its HD brothers, and...

WWE All Stars Review

“Let me tell you something, brother, it doesn't matter what your name is and that's the bottom line because you can't see me.”

Fantastically refined wrestling system ; Crazy stylised graphics and animation ; Good roster

A bit light on features ; Commentary is terrible ; Create-a-Wrestler is lacking

"WWE All Stars" is a return to the roots of wrestling games and a return to form for THQ. If you have fond memories of the N64 generation or are a fighting game fan with a hankering for the squared circle, WWE All Stars has plenty to offer.

Another hit in the house.

My son loves this game. He said it's the best ever.

Fun To Play ; Good Audio ; Graphics ; Kid Appropriate

WWE All Stars- Wii

Pulling off hard-hitting, acrobatic moves is still fairly satisfying, but the anemic sound effects hinder your enjoyment. There is some fun to be had in WWE All Stars, but this over-the-top take on sports entertainment fails to deliver on its ambitions.

WWE All Stars- Wii

WWE All Stars features a good roster of characters, and there's a decent range of fights. While the Extreme Rules and Cage variants are admittedly pretty weak, the four-player and tag matches are a great way to get everyone in the house involved. It's...

WWE All Stars- Wii

WWE All Stars is fun -- I enjoy the cartoony colors, crazy moves and ability to just jump in and play -- but it has plenty to improve on for next time. A detailed tutorial is needed, the modes and matches tend to all feel the same, and dear God, make...
