Smackdown vs. Raw 2008

Too little, too soon.

Storyline wise, the game is equally thin. There are no cutscenes, no dialog, no storyline whatsoever. Whichever star is chosen has to slog through tiers of wrestlers multiple times to level up, with the option to directly challenge or tag with another...

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008

Every year THQ rolls out a new WWE wrestling game that often is nothing more than a glorified roster update. While the other systems may be receiving more of the same this year, the Wii is at least receiving something different: a brand new control...

SmackDown! VS. RAW 2008 Review

Some great ideas for a motion-sensor focused wrestling game on the Wii surface with this release -- too bad there's very little actual gamplay to go along with it..

At the end of the day, SmackDown! vs. RAW 2008 is a fun game on the Wii if you are willing to live with its myriad of quirks and shortcomings. Yuke's deserves some credit for trying to implement Wii motion controls in a meaningful way. Perhaps next...

WWE SmackDown! vs RAW 2008

Probably the only time your grandma will Flair Flip your ass

Motions controls are intuitive ; A ton of satisfying moves ; Lots of great modes

Complicated moves can be less reliable ; Music can be annoying ; Camera can detract from interactivity

E3 '07: WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 hands-on preview

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw for the Wii? Yup! When I saw Smackdown at THQ's setup the first day of E3, I didn't plan on touching it; I already played the last couple of titles, so what was the point of seeing slightly better graphics with a few wrestlers I...

To be fair, there was one cool way the remote and nunchuck were used; to taunt you have to hold C and move the two in a certain way to initiate the taunt, so for HHH and HBK's "Suck it!" taunt, you actually had to perform the motion. I didn't get a...

WWE SmackDown vs RAW 2008 (Wii) review

Can its unique motion-sensitive controls raise the Wii version to the rank of Superstar among the many WWE console contenders?

While the atmosphere may be weak, the Wii version makes up for it through sheer, physical playability.

didn't quite "cut" it...

What can I say about this game? I must admit I jumped aboard the band wagon when this game was coming out. I waited and anticipated, with the coverage of country wide bans everywhere I looked. Yet, when I finally got this game I was definitely let...

movement with the controller. i.e. the stabbing, hitting, etc

Way too short and way hyped up

A much anticipated sequel, and a great let down for me...

I had a reservation on this game for months. Waited patiently for it despite it being pushed back due to the ESRB fiasco mostly because of the original controversial rating of "Adult Only". Finally, when it did see release I couldn't wait to play it. ...

For people who like gritty graphics and gross scenery its got a lot to offer

Shady control scheme, no visual reward for assassinations. Why not just fist fight every bad-guy
