Skullgirls

Consoles have been treated to a revival of the fighting genre ever since Street Fighter IV’s release in 2009, but no notable new entries have made their way to the downloadable arena. Reverge Labs is finally delivering this with Skullgirls, a...

Review: Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii

Xenoblade Chronicles is an extraordinarily deep RPG with a fantastic story. Wii owners should savor every moment of this adventure.

Interesting story that seemingly starts out typical, but has lots of twists. Can customize weapons with gems. Lots of different equipment is available that changes how characters look. You can develop relationships with party members and NPCs, which...

While you do have control over how battles proceed, it often feels like you aren’t really doing much when you have to level grind or collect items for sidequests. The graphics are dated. I wish there was a way to turn off future visions in battle...

Xenoblade Chronicles

Xenoblade Chronicles will be remembered for its controversial release history more than what it does with its story, its gameplay, or anything else. It has had a long and tumultuous past, released as it was in Japan, then in Europe, while Nintendo of...

Now if only I could forget the word "Monado" after hearing it twelve million times over the past month.

Xenoblade Chronicles Review

Xenoblade Chronicles is not only the best RPG this generation, but it's also my favorite game on the Nintendo Wii. If you like RPGs, then you own it to yourself to buy this limited time gem of a game.

Incredible world ; Great story by Monolith Soft ; Fun battle system ; Deep level of character customization ; Fantastic Soundtrack ; Lots of side quests

Muddy textures on the Wii ; Story takes a long time to get going

Xenoblade Chronicles- Wii

For its faults, we criticize, but in Xenoblade Chronicles, these faults are born from excess ambition, from struggling to achieve something new. Despite them, Xenoblade shines brightly into the Wii's fading night.

Xenoblade Chronicles- Wii

Xenoblade Chronicles is the first JRPG I've played this generation that has me excited for the future rather than simply reminding me of happy memories from my past. Monolith Soft deserves praise for creating it.

Xenoblade Chronicles- Wii

Considering that aging hardware is just about the only complaint keeping Xenoblade away from absolute JRPG glory, it's a no-brainer of a recommendation. [...] Xenoblade more than atones for the sins of its fathers and shouldn't be missed by anyone who...

Xenoblade Chronicles- Wii

There's no denying that Xenoblade has its low points, but those high points are some of the highest of the genre. If you own a Wii, there's very little room to question -- this is a must-have game for Nintendo's humble little system.

Xenoblade Chronicles- Wii

Xenoblade Chronicles is the best Japanese RPG of this generation. The fact that it looks like it's from the last generation is its only drawback, but its technical limitations are offset by imaginative artistic direction, innovative and compelling...
