Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist Review

Splinter Cell sneaks into a great game.

Not having been a huge fan of the original Splinter Cells, I was stunned at how much "Splinter Cell: Blacklist" drew me in. With a broad range of play styles, beautiful look, and smooth controls, the game has moved from a niche genre title into the...

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist Wii U Review

Sam Fisher returns in the sixth instalment of Ubisoft's flagship franchise, which does its best in appeasing fans of the original stealthy gameplay and the more recent action orientated fare alike.

Takes best elements of both older and more recent Splinter Cell games and fuses them together perfectly ; Pure Clancyesque plot filled with escalating terrorism and the small covert unit who stands in their way ; Pumping musical score keeps gameplay...

Michael Ironside is no longer Sam Fisher's voice ; Still a far cry from the pure stealth mechanics that made the original three Splinter Cell games so great

One of the few games like this on WiiU

A fun game with good gamepad integration. The controls are a little sloppy but the gameplay is fun. I like that you can choose different play styles.About me... Hardcore gamer

Gamepad integration, non-stealth way to play it

Controls are challenging

Good game with bad load times.

Story is what you'd expect from a Tom Clancy game. Cool gadgets and smooth controls. Graphics are pretty good. Load times are atrocious though and the multiplayer community has a low population. The game also had a tendency to crash but doesn't happen...

Splinter cell is back to form

I love that you can choose how to approach each situation with either stealth or action. It really lends to a unique and personal game experience. The balance between the two is the best in the series. The sorry is engaging and always keeps the game...

Stealth or action? You choose how to play. Awesome gadget controls with the Wii U gamepad

Vehicle sections could be better, but there's not a lot of them

Great action game

This game has a compelling storyline that will make you want to finish it. It gives you several options to deal with enemies. You can bypass them entirely, go in with guns blazing, or sneak up on them and take them out using non-lethal or lethal means....

A Great Game With Some Flaws

A quick synopsis of Splinter Cell: Blacklist for the Wii U. The campaign is great, with decent voice-acting, a decent variety of gameplay in the missions, a lot of weapon options, and the ability to play three different styles. The Wii U game pad is...

The single player campaign is challenging and compelling

The load screens are painfully long and the multiplayer isn't working consistently

Good stealth or action game

I think this is a great game to have for the Wii U. Ubi makes great use of the gamepad and it looks great on this system. But what holds it back is the online. Ubisoft has yet to release a patch so co op and spys vs mercs is almost unplayable most of...

The gadgets and story

The online would be great if not broken

Great, challenging game

The game is great, it's the only one I've ever played other than a GCN demo a long time ago. When I saw there were Co-Op missions I was curious if you could play local multiplayer and was disappointed to find out they were only online. Then I was even...

trying to complete levels as ghost vs panther

lack of local multiplayer

A great refresh of the Splinter Cell Series

I am thrilled with this game. I have loved Splinter Cell since the first game, but always felt it was so ambitious, that the hardware (of the time) was holding it back. Now with the power of the Wii U, the hardware has evolved to be able to really...

Everything (especially the gamepad features)

some issues with online (which Ubisoft is actively patching)
