Thief: The Most Grim, Oppressive Game I’ve Ever Played

If a game sets out on such a dedicated mission to make its places and faces so uniformly wretched, there ought to be a reason for it.

Remember how that mostly fantastic Tomb Raider reboot didn’t meet Square Enix’s projections? I can’t wait to see what they expected from this. For what it’s worth, though, this is Eidos’ first big whiff under Square Enix management. They brought back...

THIEF Review

The Thief reboot has been on the cards for a number of years. It's seen some disappointing E3 showings, disappeared, come back, and now has finally been [...]

"THIEF" ends up being pretty dissimilar to Dishonored, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s more linear (and a little bit less ambitious, you may add), but this forces you to choose a route carefully as you’re a little bit more restricted as to...

The AI is very exploitable; The climbing mechanics are inconsistent; The story is dull and generic, and the villains are caricatures; Very linear story missions; The new Garrett gets caught way too often to be described a Master Thief; Quite a few bugs...

Couldn't get into it.

I see a great game here but, they couldn't deliver the same experience and the load times were terrible.
