Solid horror/mystery game

Has a Steven King vibe. I'd say it's worth 10-20 dollars. Came pre-loaded on my 360. There are two DLCs!

Mildly scary, but more creepy than scary ; Decent plot with very good voice acting ; Unique gameplay using flashlight as a weapon. It works

Gameplay is repetitive. Run through the forest. Kill bad guys. Run through the forest. Kill bad guys. Run through the forest. Kill bad guys. Every once in a while you drive a truck. I found myself just wanting to watch the cutscenes

Amazing

I rented the game through GameFly and felt regret sending it back, so I found it here for a great price and jumped all over it. The DLC episodes are great, and about as long as the episodes in the original game. You get the first DLC episode free with...

Story, lighting effects, creepiness, dialogue, soundtrack ; A survival horror masterpiece, with only a few drawbacks. It feels like playing a Steven King novel mixed with a TV show ; ShootersOnly .com has a great review

lack of multiplayer, Alan Wake's clumsy jumping

Best Story Ever

If your buying this new you get the first DLC for free and I highly recommend the second DLC since it is also very well made and kind of leads into the future sequel to the game.

If you love a deep and enthralling story then this is the game for you. This game by far has one of the most well written story lines ive ever seen in a game and the way the game splits its levels into episodes is fresh and keeps you wanting more. The...

It had to end. Cant wait for the sequel

Right On!!

I had a great time playing the game, my wife even enjoyed watching. Mainly because it was set up in episodes. Leaving you wondering and the nrecapping the next episode. I believe to get the full effect of the game is to play it through the 1st time...

Solid game play, keeps you engaged the hole way ; Voice acting on point not hing bad to say about it ; Music plays well in the game helping you get the reactions the want from players ; The best part of the game is the story keeps you guessing leaves...

Not very many enemy types, but that can be looked over. Weapon choice is limited but you'll understand once you play (read other thoughts)

Fantastic Game

Well, I've nailed all 1,000 Gamerscore on this baby, and played through it four times at this point. It's a refreshing title after a few years of mediocre games (Red Dead Redemption aside, which came out the same week as this title.). I've loved every...

Believable characters, the best atmosphere and level design I've seen in years, great control scheme/gameplay mechanics, and an original premise

Not long enough! (Though it comes with a voucher for the first DLC.) ; Oh, and this version doesn't have the fascinating hardcover book that comes with the Limited Edition. I ordered that one after I beat the basic copy once. Also, the Limited Edition...

Interesting Game

If you are a Stephen King fan, or a fan of similar genres, you will like the story. I wouldn't say the game is scary, but it is definitely creepy and sets a very dark mood most times.

The game is a fun single player story with plans for additional episodes in the coming months. Well written story and good voice acting

Once you finish the story you will be left with more questions than answers, probably leading up for a sequel or additional episodes (downloadable). You probably wont have any reason to go back to play it after you finish, until the new episodes come...

Brilliant

The game is fun, intelligent, and a great homage to the stories of Stephen King and things like Twin Peaks and Lost. It's fun to play and well worth every penny. I can't wait for the upcoming DLC this July. One of the best story-driven games out there,...

Good game... way too repetitive.

I was looking forward to this game for over a year, but it left me disappointed, but before that, I noticed Newegg had it for $49.99 + free shipping so I jumped on that deal.

Graphics, story, and atmosphere

Very, very repetitive. After the third episode, you'll have had your fill of killing "Taken

eerie

Free/Fast Newegg shipping! Got it $10.00 cheaper than elsewhere. (KEEP IN MIND I HAVE ONLY PLAYED THRU THE FIRST THREE CHAPTERS OF THIS GAME OUT OF 6 or 7)

Cool combat system, slow motion features ; Excellent story telling aspects ; Keeps you on the edge of your seat ; Broken up into chapters - like a television series (EG; Stephen Kings 'IT' or 'THE STAND' (similar to how they are broken up)

Rated 'T' - kind of a let down to me - considering it's an action/survivor/thriller type of game - I expected some gore ; The writer of the dialogue wasn't always on point. Some of the dialogue is awesome - some not so awesome
