Still excellent a decade after its release. It is no secret that so far in the Xbox 360′s lifespan there has been a severe shortage of excellent platformers. The system...

Tons to do ; Mechanics still solid ; Great humor ; Excellent price

Collection can get old ; Almost too much to do

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

For a long time, gamers mourned the apparent death of the Banjo-Kazooie series. Then, one shining day, Rare announced a return to the franchise with Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. Fans of the series rejoiced in collective glee - more of the Banjo we...

Tons of areas and content to discover ; Your favorite characters are back ; Streamlined creation system ; Interesting physics ; Polished, solid gameplay

Longtime Banjo fans may find the new formula disappointing ; No voiceovers ; Tons of fetch quests and races

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts isn't for everyone. If you're not a fan of building and creating, then you will absolutely hate it. However, if that just happens to be right down your alley, then you'll have a blast. It's simple to work your brain to...

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts - Review

When anyone in my household announces after dinner that they're in the mood for platforming, it's immediately followed by impatient sighs. This isn't because we've lost our love for platforming. It's because to get that pure simplicity, it will require...

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is slow to get started, and like I’ve said before, you’ll need some patience with all the cheekiness, but once you get a decent stock of parts in your garage, you’ll spend hours in the workshop and testing arena pimping your...

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts Review:

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts Review Xbox 360. Rare has been an interesting developer to watch since their partnership with our favorite green themed console. Their initial success with gems like Donkey Kong Country and Banjo Kazooie created some...

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts acts out its premise. It takes an old game, disassembles it, and puts it back together in a new package. It does just about everything right, but it can feel like there's something missing in the gameplay that keeps Nuts &...

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts Review

I feel a bit bad for Banjo Kazooie and his creative caretakers at Rare; their latest stab at stardom for the bird and bear is an amazingly fresh experience that should be heralded by game makers and players alike. But ever since Sackboy came into the...

I’m not one of those Rare fans that have been keeping a vigil for the developer’s classic franchises; I could give a rat’s behind if we ever get another Killer Instinct, and I wasn’t even a big Banjo fan back in the day. So, my love of Rare’s latest...

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

There was a time, many moons ago, when Rare bestrode the world of gaming like some kind of colossus impressing all and sundry with their ingenious products. Goldeneye, Donkey Kong Country, Perfect Dark, Jet Force Gemini – to name but a few of the...

A fun game that is let down by dubious vehicle controls and a design system that soon becomes tiresome. There is plenty to see and do though and the variety of challenges, for those that stick around, will keep you happily entertained.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

REVIEW: A bear and a bird learn to roll their own rides

Lots of vehicle classes; plenty of collectible parts for building.; Wide variety of challenges in large and vivid worlds

Building won't appeal to everyone; absent multiplayer options

Will kids get the Dallas and Buck Rogers parodies?

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts

After a long absence from home consoles, the bird and bear pair are back with an adventure that takes them outside of their platforming comfort zone, ala Banjo Pilot for the GBA. However, unlike that portable entry, Nuts and Bolts doesn't completely do...

Overall, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts is an excellent game that gives the series a long-overdue overhaul. Rare has packed it to the brim with gameplay options, giving it a lot of replay value, and allowing it to be enjoyed in either short spurts or...

Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts

Famed game developer Rare Ltd. is reviving one of its most beloved and successful franchises exclusively on Xbox 360 with the third installment of the Banjo-Kazooie series. Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts embraces new and old fans alike, as the famous bear...

Product Specifications

Nuts & Bolts embraces new and old fans alike, as the famous bear and bird duo return in stunning high definition for a unique adventure of epic proportions. The Lord of the Games (aka LOG) is tired of the petty squabbling between Banjo and the evil witch Gruntilda (aka Grunty) over the years, and has arranged a showdown to decide the rightful owner of Spiral Mountain. Claiming to have created every video game ever made, LOG has built the game worlds in which the contest's challenges take place. Banjo must complete LOG's challenges to win, while Grunty tries to stop him using every method her devious mind can muster. Throughout your adventure, create your own abilities by building vehicles for Banjo to pilot over land, water, and air. Vehicle parts, which range from simple devices such as engines and wheels to more unusual equipment such as springs and egg guns, are earned and collected throughout the game. Use your imagination to combine parts in any order to create whatever vehicle you choose. LOG's challenges have one goal, but your choice of vehicle and tactics will determine how you get there. By exploring worlds and solving puzzles, you will be rewarded with more advanced and diverse vehicle parts in your quest to defeat Grunty once and for all. With the power of Xbox 360, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts brings an entirely new experience to the console and takes the franchise to a whole new level of enjoyment. High-definition graphics, user-created content, and online gameplay are just three of the many advances people of all ages and skill levels will discover as they embark on their adventure.
