Battleship

Battleship, the board game, is excellent. Everything else that the franchise has bombarded us within the last few months is not. The idea that a movie, let alone a good one, could be drawn out of Battleship is a tenuous notion at best. The general...

Battleship encourages you to keep going because its achievements are easy to earn, but there’s no way even the most ardent achievement hunters are going to buy this at the game’s price point. In years past, this would have been released under...

Bland presentation and sloppy mechanics sink Battleship more effectively than a torpedo ever could.

Interesting blend of strategy and FPS shooting

Clumsy shooting mechanics ; Boring sea battles ; Missions lack variety ; Nondescript environments

Yeah, they really made a game based on a movie, based on a board game. Read our review.

Shooting isn't broken

Presentation is awful ; Boring, repetitious design ; Short campaign ; No multi-player at all

Barebones brawling.

Digital adaptations of Rihanna and Liam Neeson are blessedly absent

Wholly uninspired. A facsimile of a first-person shooter with a plain Battleship minigame

No surprises.

Battleship is one part generic and one part simplistic. The link that binds the two parts together is exasperatingly cumbersome, and that's probably the biggest problem with the game. It starts out fun, but quickly gets repetitive: The same old story.

Battleship- Xbox 360

Battleship] is a title that isn't truly good or bad, with aspects that can be fun at times yet which grow boring over the course of its 4 hour lifespan, and ultimately it falls just short of being anything more than decidedly average.

The original game, which is world famous for its guesswork and mild strategy, has been transformed into a first-person shooter. A first-person shooter that plays out like a low-rent Halo, and lazily indulges every genre cliche you can think of.
