Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride

Like many North American players, this was my first time diving into the world of Dragon Quest V. The DS remake of the Japanese Super Famicom original (and more recently a Japanese PlayStation 2 remake) does a fantastic job of updating the game, with...

Battlestations: Pacific Review

Battlestations: Pacific takes players through two epic sagas of the Pacific War using naval and aerial combat tactics, players get a unique spot of playing through the history of the war or being able to rewrite the outcome.

The game strives to create a strong visual experience for gamers and really their efforts show through the interface, models, attention to detail on textures, and the particle systems. Sound effects meanwhile further enhance immersion.

Battlestations: Pacific

When I first turned on Battlestations: Pacific I wasn't sure how into it I was going to be. While I appreciated the short amount of time I had with the first game (Battlestations: Midway), I wouldn't say that I was its biggest fan. What's more, after...

I didn't expect to like Battlestations: Pacific, but it only took a few missions for me to fall head over heels for this little strategy game. With great online play and two satisfying missions, Battlestations: Pacific proves to be one of the best...

Battlestations: Pacific (Xbox 360) Review

The pounding action, deep strategy, and various other factors help Battlestations: Pacific rise above it's predecessor, Midway. It's a great game, and manages to create a WWII game that isn't a shooter and succeed.

Battlestations: Pacific - Review

Battlestations: Pacific is ready to give gamers everything they've ever imagined about combat from World War II by combining naval and flight combat. Much better than its predecessor, Battlestations: Midway, the campaign over the Pacific provides a...

You deploy units by spending points for your selection of ships, submarines, planes and the like, so be prepared for intense battles that will consume a good chunk of your day. For the other modes, Siege is your typical defend a particular position...

Battlestations: Pacific

One of the fresher WWII experiences out there.

The 28 missions, including the "what if" Japanese scenarios provide more than enough game play time to more than pay for the price tag. If that isn't enough for you, try your luck online in five new multiplayer modes including Island Capture (Capture...

Battlestations: Pacific - Xbox 360 review at Thunderbolt Games

2007's Battlestations: Midway was a rare breed of game, combing both heavy strategy and action on a grand scale as it tackled WWII naval and air combat in one package. It was definitely a complicated game, featuring an opening tutorial that took around...

Battlestations: Pacific

REVIEW: Let's keep this among friends

Great multiplayer is the addictive highlight of this strategic sequel.; Good range of units

Weak single-player

Did this game really get the full layer of polish it should have (and deserved)?

E3 2008: Battlestations: Pacific hands-on preview

Battlestations: Pacific is the sequel to the popular Battlestations: Midway title Chris reviewed over a year ago. Set in the Pacific Theatre of World War II, the game is largely similar to the original title, except on a larger scale with more action...

Even though I came into the session with limited experience playing Midway, I still enjoyed my time playing Pacific. It took a while to get used to, but the action was fun, and newcomers to the series can easily jump right in with this latest installment.

Battlestations: Pacific

Those of you who played the 2007 title Battlestations: Midway were treated to a deep, engrossing, and difficult to grasp game. It was a strategy game yet an action game, and an air combat game yet a naval combat game. The WWII fighter was also very...

Battlestations: Pacific does improve on its predecessor in several ways, but overall it just doesn't do enough to make it a must-buy. The machines control well, but the action is just a bit slow to keep you on the edge of your seat (or couch, or...
