Blood Drive Review

Zombies do not make everything better.

UmmÂ…a couple of the cars are kind of cool, I guess

Bad concept; feels incomplete/rushed; dated, boring gameplay; uninspired events; awful car handling and physics; technical deficiencies; no split-screen mulitplayer

REVIEW: Rise of the (un)dead genre

Killin' zombies! Car combat

Too few match types in too-long tournaments.; Minor performance problems; some cars are no fun to drive

Why is this genre dead again?

Blood Drive- Xbox 360

Even at the budget price of 20 smackers, this just isn't worth wasting your time with. It's a bit alarming when you realise that sitting on Facebook, shovelling crisps in your mouth and scratching yourself proves to be time better spent than playing a...

Blood Drive- Xbox 360

It's a shame to see such a sloppy effort from a stellar independent studio, but more than that, it's baffling to see this kicked out the door by Activision just days before the release of the massive and expertly polished Call of Duty: Black Ops. We'd...

Blood Drive- Xbox 360

Anyone looking for a quick car combat fix before next year's Twisted Metal might be able to waste a few hours on this title, but they won't be wholly enjoyable hours. Since you can't save in the middle of a tournament, and some the later cups last a...

Blood Drive- Xbox 360

If it were executed well, mowing down zombies with weaponized automobiles would certainly be dumb fun enough to warrant another zombie-game toward the genre's apparent monthly quota. But it isn't even executed competently. Heck, Blood Drive hardly...

Blood Drive- Xbox 360

I don't know if the game was rushed out the door or simply not given an adequate budget or development schedule, but what's on the disc represents less content and value than a lot of downloadable games.

Blood Drive- Xbox 360

In the end, Blood Drive is just some generic cars running over some ho-hum zombies. The controls could be tighter and no one seems to be playing online, but the game succeeds at giving you a license to run over the undead. It just isn't that exciting.

Blood Drive- Xbox 360

I imagine it's difficult to make a game called Blood Drive less fun than attending an actual blood drive, but, by golly, someone's done it. At least when you donate blood you get a cookie and juice at the end.
