Borderlands had the best of all possible debuts for a new IP: it sold great, and it made seriously dedicated players out of most who picked it up.

It's been too long since we last visited Pandora, foraging for guns and loot. Almost three years in fact, and in that time we've found little to fill the void left by Borderlands, which brought its own inimitable brand of shoot 'n' loot action with a...

Borderlands 2 is a fantastic sequel full to the brim with colour, verve and personality, excelling as an enjoyable shooter with involving RPG elements despite more fetch quests than several dogs will experience in a lifetime. It's all wonderfully...

I'm a lot more social in the real world than I am when it comes to gaming and I find that a videogame should retain very strong aesthetics when playing alone. This was only a slight weakness for the first game because of how fun the gameplay was but...

Gearbox and 2K Games have now given us a sequel that absolutely delivers on everything Borderlands fans were hoping for and is every bit as addicting. To start off, we now have four new characters that each represent an improved version of the...

Cannot... contain... the badassery.

More improvements than you can shake your fist at; Speedier movement and loading times; Retains tongue-in-cheek humor; Added abilities for weapons and accessories; New slag element encourages teamwork; Badass tokens and Claptrap storage works across...

Designed more as Borderlands 1.5; Issues with "fight for your life" state; What happened to the zoom stat

Though Borderlands 2 doesn't shoot for the stars, it does more than enough to retain our most awesome recommendation. As long as you have several friends who can join your party, there's no way you will be disappointed. (And if you need some...

Claptrap's back! Explore Pandora with a brand new cast of zany characters in Borderlands 2.

The bottom line: Borderlands 2 offers a much larger, much more refined version of the original. Even if complaints about the first game bothered you enough that you couldn't properly enjoy it, the second one improves on just about every aspect of the...

Greetings Vault Hunter! Welcome to Pandora, a world of danger and riches. Borderlands 2 picks up five years from where its predecessor left off. The vault has been opened, releasing a new element called Eridium into the land of Pandora. This causes the...

It is time to return to Pandora and loot more guns. Does the sequel bring enough to keep it fresh?

Genuinely funny ; Co-op is still a blast ; Love the visual style ; Plenty of loot to collect

Shared loot in co-op ; Lots of the guns feel useless

Borderlands 2 (Xbox 360 / PS3) Review

Returning to fill your pockets and empty rounds is the hyper-addictive Borderlands. Tagged "A new era of shoot and loot", you better believe it, Borderlands 2 is bazillion'd up.

Bigger and Badder version of Borderlands ; Enjoyable new and old characters ; Fun character classes with endless replay value ; Graphical and core gameplay improvements ; Little more room for exploration and customization ; Hyper addictive loot gathering

Vehicles selection is still limited ; Formula can get tiresome in long sittings ; Not too much is new, for those wanting more diversity

Borderlands 2 doesn't disappoint. It's exactly more of what you loved from the original, done up bigger. While it might fall short in some areas like competitive multiplayer and overall narrative integration, there is no discounting the amount of...

Games Xtreme returns to Pandora in our indepth Borderlands 2 review. Bottom line: go buy it!

Borderlands 2 improves over Borderlands in every way. It has better loot and is a far more refined game. A few graphical issues mar the experience but do not stop it from being fun!
