Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

A worthy purchase for any lover of first-person shooters, Call of Duty 4 is a fully immersive experience in single- and multi-player modes.

Very realistic visuals and audio. Lots of real-life military gear and weaponry. Multi-player customization.

Single player campaign could have been longer.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Taking the Call of Duty series from the French and German countrysides to a modern-day setting provides both a nice change of scenery and a new level of plot freshness. World War II shooters re-create an incredible story, but it’s one we’re all...

Best shooter of 2007 ; Awesome multiplayer ; Looks and sounds incredible

No online co-op ; Unlockable online weapons ; Unlimited respawning enemies

It doesn’t limit the fun, however, and that’s really what a good game boils down to. Is Call of Duty 4 fun? Without question. Does it provide a good multiplayer experience in spite of the need to unlock modes and weapons that should be there in the...

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Today in the gaming industry, you'd be hard pressed to not have at least three current first-person shooters taking place in World War II. The Call of Duty franchise was known to be one of the few that excelled in the field. Yet, they fell short of...

So although the campaign mode isn't the longest ever, it still has a story that can rival some of the other AAA titles that were released in the previous year (along with one of the greatest endings in FPS history) and multiplayer that will last until...

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on Xbox 360

Adding A Modern Coat of Paint

Is CoD4 the best FPS ever made? Definitely not. Will it provide a decent amount of entertainment value and cover the cost of $60? Absolutely.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

I have to admit something that may tick off Call of Duty fans: I'm tired of playing World War II shooters.

Halo 3 and Gears of War may be 360 system sellers but COD4 is not to be ignored. It's a rock-solid title that pushes the envelope and shatters expectations. In my opinion this is the shooter to beat right now and I don't see myself going back to the...

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Rev..

Infinity Ward leaves WW II in the past and steps into modern times with this thrilling military shooter.

Infinity Ward may have taken a chance by modernizing the franchise, but the gamble paid off in spades. The game is one of the most gorgeous available for the 360 to date and the gameplay is absolutely fantastic, although it can be frustratingly...

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Starting out in 2003, Call of Duty virtually owned the WWII genre. Starting out with the original Call of Duty, the series quickly expanded to eight titles as well as a few expansions for the PC. All that in four years and now, finally, Call of Duty 4:...

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Xbox 360) Review

Short, but sweet, with a good deal of multiplayer-based added value.

Though the FPS genre is a crowded one on the 360, Call of Duty 4 carves out its own niche near the top. I've already had several experiences during matches where I cursed the lack of Halo 3's Saved Films feature, something I hope can find its way into...

Review: Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare

I keep playing Call of Duty 4. The more I do, the more I'm certain there must be something distinctly wrong here. After all, Infinity Ward has spent so much of their brief life tinkering around in the World War II era. When it came to Axis, Allies,...
