Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Review

While it is abundantly clear that this game doesn't strive for innovation, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 gives players an overall entertaining game and delivers exactly what fans of the series want..

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Review (Xbox 360)

Four years ago, Activision created the world's largest video game franchise with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Yes, there had been Call of Duty games before that and yes, they had done respectably. But Modern Warfare turned those games into a mega...

The Assault Package works much like the Killstreak in Modern Warfare, rewarding those able to kill without dying with a variety of attack oriented packages, such as AC130 attacks, attack helicopters, and calling down Juggernauts. The Support package...

When tasked with reviewing an entertainment juggernaut like the Call of Duty series, it's difficult to win. If you lavish too much praise on the game then you are accused of being a mere fanboy, or worse, of being at the beck and call of Activision's...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a well produced title that will give you another slice of entertainment, whether you choose to go it alone or head online to kick ass and take some names. It's nothing new though, and single-player feels especially...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 review [Xbox 360/PS3/PC]

Eight years. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the culmination of eight years of perpetual Call of Duty releases. And it's the first in some time that genuinely has its work cut out.

Review: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (360/PS3)

Activision manages the tricky feat of offering more of the same for the fans and some shiny new features for the non-fans.

Excellent changes to make multiplayer friendlier; addictive survival mode

Silly and confusing single-player campaign

Modern Warfare 3 continues where its predecessor left off. Is it possible to have too much of a good thing?

It's just very much expected

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

TheCall of Duty franchise is known for jaw-dropping set pieces, fast and frantic gunplay, and the most popular online multiplayer experience ever. The most recent installment, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, was heralded as the most anticipated release...

You know as well as I that next year will herald a new entry in the Call of Duty phenomenon, regular as clockwork. I, for one, am curious to see how the series develops... if it does at all. Will they throw something new into the mix or are they...

Despite using the same engine, the developers have managed to keep things fresh with new multiplayer modes, maps, Spec Ops and Elite.

The serious players will also appreciate the highly detailed maps, with major points in each map clearly labelled. Although you get this information if you're an Elite member, it's nice to also have in the strategy guide.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Review

Basically, all you need to know to really understand what’s going on is that Makarv is bad, the Russians have invaded the US and are attempting to do the same to the rest of the world’s major powers and that you, as a handful of known and unknown...

The perfect finale for an amazingly deep and complex narrative. Absolutely satisfying; Looks amazing in comparison to the previous game with excellent new lighting; Longer, more challenging campaign thanks to the best AI the series has seen; Spec Ops:...

Not a lot has ultimately changed, especially in multiplayer; There are still a few nagging choke-points, but far less than previous iterations; Multiplayer doesn't look nearly as good as single-player visually

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Review

With longtime studio directors West and Zampella gone, can Infinity Ward carve a fitting end to the Modern Warfare saga?

COD will need some more revolution for its next release, although as likely the last release for the current generation of consoles, Treyarch may be able to get away with it. Like with Gears 3, I cannot imagine a better COD game- so where does the...
