Crackdown 2 DLC: Premium Deluge Pack

Since the release of Crackdown 2 in July 2010, there has been a mixed reception from critics and players alike. Some loved the sandbox environment and war torn look of the cities given to it by Ruffian in their rushed six month release schedule. ...

When playing the original Crackdown back in early 2007, I recall wondering how incredible the game could have been with a proper story and mission system behind the vastly entertaining, bustling sandbox of a world that was Pacific City. Fast forward...

Crackdown 2

It's been two years since players took up the reins and cleaned the streets of crime in Crackdown and our return to the sweeping highways and towering edifices of Pacific City couldn't be better timed. The pristine and beautiful city of the future left...

Crackdown 2 (Xbox 360) Review

Is the highly anticipated follow-up to the original surprise hit worth returning to Pacific City for? Well, in short, no.

Large open world to explore ; Around 1,000 things to collect in all ; Four player co-op is fun

Very simplistic story that they don't really explore ; Multiplayer combat is forgettable ; Nearly identical to the original Crackdown ; Has no worthwhile purpose

Crackdown 2

While cynics initially credited the fact that the Halo 3 beta was included with the original Crackdown as the reason for the number of units it moved, no one could have predicted the levels of cult-classic fondness that gamers would later develop for...

Crackdown 2 is Crackdown with 4 player co-op, a dull new color palette, and a glide suit that doesn't glide very well.

Crackdown 2 Review [Xbox 360]

There's something reassuringly familiar about Crackdown 2. Pacific City might be a very different place to the sandbox world we cleaned up four years ago, but the old landmarks remain, continually hinting at former glories. It feels good to be back.

Amazing recreation of Pacific City ; Plenty of orbs to collect ; New drop-in multiplayer

Dodgy target lock-on ; Bad collision detection when climbing ; Short, unimagintive story

It's good to be back in Pacific City, but a handful of niggling bugs and a lack of imagination take the shine off the Agent's return.

Crackdown 2 Review

Open-world action games have become a genre of their own, splitting off of the classic, heavily scripted shooters and making their own path. No one has had as much influence in this genre as Rockstar Games has, but there are a few developers out there...

Still, Crackdown 2 offers a lot of action for its asking price, but you might be better off just dusting off your copy of the first game. This sequel doesn’t innovate in as many ways as it probably should have, but it does still wind up executing a...

When compared to the original game, which had an open mission structure that allowed players to take out gang leaders in different ways in order to weaken their grip over the city, the new style is utterly archaic. Other missions, like Cell Stronghold...

It wasn't a surprise when Crackdown sold well. It came with exclusive access to the Halo 3 beta and, because of this, the game's success was guaranteed. In fact, many people bought Realtime Worlds' open-world shooter without actually intending to ever...
