Darwinia+ Review

Take a RTS and sprinkle in some puzzle/action elements and you have Darwinia+.

The multiplayer aspect of the game, Multiwinia, is pretty fun. Multiwinia can support up to four players on Xbox Live in various game modes like Capture the Statue, Domination, and King of the Hill. The pace of the game is more frantic because other...

Review: Darwinia+ (Microsoft Xbox 360)

You don't actually get to control the lemming like Darwinians; merely set paths to safety for them to follow. They don't always follow instructions to the letter, which you'd think wouldn't be hard to correct on the move to consoles.

Darwinia+ is totally different from most titles offered by Live Arcade, and in this case that’s a good thing. Individually lacking that ‘must buy' status, the combination of the two games works perfectly and is highly recommended.

Darwinia+ Review for the XBOX360

Life and death in a computer program.

Long single-player campaign; Varied multiplayer mode; Graphics set the mood; Gameplay mixes it up; Really satisfying soundtrack

Doesn't have universal appeal

Darwinia+ - Xbox 360 review at Thunderbolt Games

Unapologetically retro, Darwinia was released to critical acclaim back in 2005, exclusively for the PC. In the following year, Introversion's game brought home three out of five awards at IGF (Independent Game Festival), setting a record for the most...

Darwinia +

Viruses really are the bain of a PC user's life. Get one and you're guarenteed to spend hours deleting files, losing documents and inevitably either losing all your valuable files, resinstalling the Operating System or spending inordinant amounts of...

Darwinia+ (XBLA) Review

Save the Darwinians; save Darwinia! Jump into the cyber world created within the computer of Dr. Sepulveda and rid the Darwinia residents of a terrible computer virus ravaging the land before it's too late.

Multiwinia is the second game in this bundle pack, allowing for more adventures in single play, and a free form selection system instead of the traditional campaign in Darwinia. Players get a chance to take on new environments and enemies throughout...

Darwinia+ is essentially two games in one. It's a console port of the original PC title, Darwinia, with a few new additions and tweaks. And it's also a console port of Multiwinia, the multiplayer version of Darwinia. While Darwinia on the PC was an...

A successful port of an RTS onto a console? The impossible has happened

Intuitive port of two excellent games ; One of the best things you'll find on XBLA ; RTS console controls that might be better than PC

PC RTS veterans might find controls weird ; Some won't like the simplistic graphics ; Makes other console RTSes seem even crappier

The real boon of Darwinia+, however, is the care and attention that's gone into this port. Controls are wonderfully intuitive, with sensible button shortcuts and the welcome addition of direct controls for squad units, briefly transforming the game...

Darwinia+ is one virus that can't be treated with tamiflu. (Xbox 360)

Darwina uses its visuals to tap into that small patch of grey matter that each gamer has, the one marked retro. By doing this it opens itself up for anyone to approach it and feel comfortable. It's all very reminiscent to Tron and uses a pixelated...
